A Classic Example of what I would never do with my stang

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6236

Come on..... he buys all this **** to make his car look like a Saleen right down to the friggin license plate holder. What's even funnier?

One of a kind Saleen, #303. 227hp V-6

One of a kind? Like the slowest Saleen ever made? And look, the only mod he made for his car worth anything was the exhaust which apparently brought his horse power form 193 to 227. And why do they put "Immaculate Condition" and then list the problems with the car? Obviously, it wouldn't be Immacutlate now would it!

With a blue book of only 8k assuming it is in fair condition as it is obvious it isn't in immaculate condition, he should only get about 6-8k for it. I wish I knew who the 21 bids were that have driven the price up to 12,4. He is dreaming if he thinks he is going to get the 4 grand of mods out of the car. At the end of the day, that car is still only a V6 coupe. Nothing more, nothing less.

I wish I could get 227hp outta my 2003 V6 with some very minor mods... Too bad Ebay doesnt allow you to leave messages on auctions to call people out on bs, so you can warn possible buyers.

Just because you put X amount of dollars in mods, does not mean when you sell it you can take the going rate + cost of mods = selling price. The only time I think that would almost apply is if you took the car and made it a more impressive car with a super charger or something. But to try and pull higher prices on a poser Saleen V6? Not gonna happen.

If you put a super charger on your car, I think you have the right to put something flashy on you car.. but badges and stuff isn't what I think people should put on them.

I agree, but if you are going to be all show and no go, don't expect to pull all of your money out of the car. He does have some nice stone chips and interior flaws that I think he forgot to include in his blue book quote. 8k max for that car. I also like how the side skirts stop when they reach the front of the door on the passenger side. I wonder if that is to help with airflow under the car. Hmmm...

By the way, I am not 100% fluent in the V6 world, but, didnt the 1999-2004 V6 only have like 190hp? He is claiming 227 yet has made no engine mods.

yeah my first post said a stock V6 that body type is 193 and he says he has 227, the only upgrade I see was an exhaust that could do anything to performance and it upped it to 227 lol
