neighbors house burnt down this morning

they had just moved in like 6 weeks ago too. anyway, this is the story one of the firemen told me: they dropped the kids off at school this morning and were having car troubles but came home before they went to the shop. the car exploded in the garage and started a chain reaction and the water heater, gas cans, etc all exploded. the 2 people there made it out safely, but there house is destroyed. i didnt get there until the fire was almost out, but heres the pictures:

Dang man, that sucks. There was a house around home that burned a while back. took almost a year to fix, and it was about half the size of that house.

Glad to hear everyone is ok.

Surprised the firemen found it in your maze of a neighborhood, lol.

they said they cant fix this house, its gonna have to be knocked down.

its not that hard to find your way around my neighborhood

my dad went back over there to see if the owners needed anything, and he said that that the people that lived across the street found pieces of the window blinds from the garage in there back yard!

yeah, usually cars don't explode...

When I lived in my old house, the woman who lived next door was a cop. Someone who had just gotten out of jail (who was in there because of her) followed her home and stuck a rag in her gas tank and lit it. The car just burned. No large explosion or anything.

they think the car had a gas leak and somehow got ignited. they had just brought the car to the shop a week ago, so i am sure that the shop is gonna be down some $$$ if they can prove that the shop screwed up.

Because the gas tank can suck the flame out.

That sucks because it looks like a nice neighboorhood.

And someone wash this damn Mustang :: http://www.mustangevolution.com/foru...achmentid=3770

A full gas tank won't explode..but an empty one has all the fumes from the gas expanding through the gas tank and the fumes will ignite. Gasoline itself is really not combustable...just the vapors. And yeh..cars will explode if there is an ignition source and gas vapors. Then the tires blow, sounds like a shotgun going off...so what prolly happened is they pulled their gas leaking car into the garage. It sits there...the hot water heater (has a pilot flame lit at all times) ignites the gas fumes, follows back to gas tank, ignites the fumes in the tank, catches car on fire. All combustable materials in the garage ignite, house ignites...bye bye. Happens all the time... if you're ever having car problems, such as overheating or anything like that...don't pull your car in the garage...

Nope...just a volunteer fireman who's seen this a ton of times. I love the people who have a meth lab in their garage too...it really makes the house blow up when it goes...
