Thumbs up Picked up my car over the weekend.

Ok so i left friday after work at 6pm to go to Texas to get my newly bought Mustang. 19 hours later I finally make it to san antonio. I have gotten a full 6 hours of sleep, and no offense to Texas, but you have got some of the craziest drivers EVER!. I saw not one, but 4 people go from the far left lane and cut accros 4 lanes to go to the right lane and then cut all the way back to the left lane, all while going faster then me, which I was doing 80. the trucks there were cool though, I saw a lot of lifted trucks, and what is the deal with the little white vinyl bullhead stickers on their cars?
So I get the car at 1:30pm and took off back to home, not before going to this place called "The Forum" to eat at some cajun fish place, and the waitress/server/hostess...whatever was Smokin hot! (cute lil blond)
So now I i leave and am going north on I35 and it starts to rain, for the whole drive through Texas, Oklahoma, and half of Missouri. I did not see daylight till I made it back to Illinois when the sun was setting, oh which was 16 and a half hours later after leaving Texas. Still trying to figure out how it was shorter going back home than going to Texas?
One little event scared the crap out of me in Missouri too, they were painting the right lane of the highway so they had this rolling caravan of vehicles with the arrows to get over to the left lane, and some jackass about a half mile up couldnt figure out what to do so he stopped completely, which backed everyone up not to mention almost caused a huge pile up, me being one of those cars. I came up on all the stopped cars and everyone was late in hitting their brakes to stop, and I was too but I managed to be able to slow down an not hit the guy ahead of me, but the guy behind me couldnt so I had to pull into the shoulder so this guy wouldnt rearend me, and he almost rearended the guy that was ahead of me instead. (close call, thank you God)
So all in all, the trip was long and a pain in the butt, but worth getting the Mustang I have wanted. I had only 10 hours of sleep in 3 days, was wired on caffeine from Mountain Dew to the point I was shaking and not cuz I was cold. I made it home safe non the less, which i am grateful for and have a nice new pretty mustang YEAH! One problem the previous owner put some low profile pirelli tires on the car, which handle great, but they are throwing off my speedometer by 12-13mph. how can I fix that, besides having to get new tires, cuz they have most their tread on them?

You can buy a speedcalibrator from dallasmustang.com and it will fix the speedometer.

What year is the car? Dont see it anywhere in there

Well I want to, but besides lowering springs, what else do I need to do it properly? I want to avoid having uneven wear of my tread and avoid any other mechanical problems that may arise from lowering it.

CC plates, Shocks and struts along with the springs. without the cc plates it will be hard to get it aligned right.

Good deal thanks for that info, now what brand or brands are best for those parts, should their be a specific specification that I would need to know about the shocks and struts? Remember, I can work on a car and fix anything like non other, but I need to know what I am working with here? How long will it take is there anything I should look out for?

thanks man, I never had noticed, I was to excited to when I picked the car up, I was more worried about having new oil and a full tank of gas for the trip home. No wonder it felt wierd in all that rain.

yeah I agree about the cajun place sucking and all, I wish the waitress/cashier/server...whatever would have too (sorry I had to say it, she was hot). yeah it is always one or two stupid people to pull off something retarded to ruin everyone elses good time. We had a similar thing, and some underage kids brought alcohol, it wasnt a good night that night.

congrats. btw. saying goes here in texas. "if you can drive in texas, you can drive anywhere" it's just more fun swerving and making a right hand turn from the left turn lane.

Seriously, with that many miles, I would start looking for a late model engine with low miles myself. Check my suspension mods, lol, it doesn't get much better, I still don't have 43K on mine and its only a year newer than yours.
