I believe its just as simple as unbolting the header from the begining of the exhaust tubing.

Dont know exact pros/cons but heres mine :p

Pro: Loud

Con: Loud, Wont pass emissions, get pulled over for noise pollution.

Open headers is just that no headers no exhaust.

I did open headers on my V6 hahaha let me tell ya that car sounded like a beast. Funny as sh*t let me tell ya.

I believe you get some HP gains but the loudness will get to ya at some point

Ever watch an NHRA drag race between the top fuel dragsters? They run open headers. I really don't like open headers. To much noise. There's a line between good sounding and just loud.

DO you just unbolt it after both headers? Besides the bolts, would you have to take out any piping? Im thinking about taking it to the track. But even if i dont decide to go open headed, i would just like to know how to.

Your engine lives off of torque. Keep em bolted together.
