The next CajunJB?

(sorry cajun haha)

I'm considering leasing a vehicle from Toyota, as the deal is amazing.. LOW lease rate, 30k mile/year limit, full insurance, discounted gas, and I can get a new car every year

I've narrowed my choices down to two veihcles, but I'm open to suggestions

first is the Scion tC release series 5.0 black - basically a blacked out TC with the TRD suspension and exhaust, I'm leaning in this direction as I'll have to frequently parallel park, but it's FWD.. at least its manual trans

second is a Tacoma PreRunner.. extended cab, 2wd, TRD sport package (lowering/hood scoop/body kit) 6 speed manual trans v6..

I'm really dreaming of that mean idle lope, but it might be fun having a pretty light RWD truck to tool around in

I'll be holding off on the truck until I get my rear job. But the Ford Fuzion is looking closer to being my DD

Hahaha so does that mean you want me to get a fusion as a DD?

I would if I worked for Ford.. however they rescinded their job offer a good deal of time ago, and Toyota's employee lease program is sweet.. so going with a toyota product

I'm very gay for Ford... very. If you get special incentives, then by all means...

Believe me, when it comes to truly fun cars (AKA mustang) I'm all Ford, too
I'm definitely considering the Tacoma, but I'm still torn..

The clincher will be when I can find out whether or not I can acquire a RS 5.0 tC or if they've all been claimed already..

leasing is not for everyone, make sure you take into account everything and know exactly how much you drive on average not just how much people do

[QUOTE=SpectorV;552992]leasing is not for everyone, make sure you take into account everything and know exactly how much you drive on average not just how much people do[/QUOTE

It's not a typical lease.. It's an employee benefit lease per a car company.. (TMS)

It's more like for a fee (MUCH cheaper than typical leases) I get to use one of Toyota's fleet vehicles, includes all maintenance, INSURANCE coverage, discounted gas cost, and I can get out of the lease whenever I want with no fee, and has about an 80/mile a day limit(30k miles/year).. seeing as I live 4 miles from work.. it'll never be an issue

Basically its like I can get a new car every year, pay a modest 'car loan' price and never have to worry about taking a huge depreciation hit

Get the Scion. My roommate in college had one and let me drive it. It was really nice in all aspects. It has plently of room for all your stuff too.

LOL Brent thanks

It's not like I'm buying the car.. I will get a mustang once I get situated out here and find a place with more garage/parking space... should be around july when my friend gets out here, we're going to look for a place.. there are quite a few in the area that have separate garages AND street parking in front of the house to boot..

This is just for the novelty of having a 'new car' and a reliable DD that gets great gas mileage, and not having to worry about anything like insurance payments/breaking down/etc

I am definitely leaning towards the tC just because parking a truck in Torrance (except for private parking, its basically all parallel parking) would not be fun

and with all the traffic out here, and cops.. I've floored it maybe once out here in 3 weeks with a tC at least i could floor it for a while and not get in trouble, but at the same time it'll keep up with traffic and be able to merge safely with highway traffic..

If you must go with the tC there much easier to hide

Re: The next CajunJB?

Don't worry about being the next CJB. You didn't sell your mustang for the specific reason of getting a tC because the tC FEELS FASTER!

Plus, you have a lot more stupidity to accomplish before you can become him...so you're fine either way.

It would be a good car for out here. I hear ya on the traffic and flooring it. Traffic has been really bad lately, especially because it's been raining and no one knows how to drive in the rain around here.

I desperately need a reliable dd, as my car is still broken from 2 weeks ago.
