I'll warn you right now, without that Cobra front bumper, there will be a gap where they meet at.

wow really? I really like that hood.. sucks if I gotta get the bumper too, don't wanna full on wannabe clone. I saw a SVT Cobra today at work, with a Saleen Body kit with the Saleen rims.. I'm confused as to what the car REALLY is. Sure it's got all that, SVT and cobra emblem.. but.. I don't get it.

I don't see where there would be a "gap". Could you point it out for us, because to me, the bumper looks exactly the same on the top half as the GTs do. The only difference is the lower part of the bumper which doesn't affect the hood.

There is a huge gap unless you have a 03 cobra hood.

Okay, well you've stumped me. Where's the gap going to be? Looks exactly the same to me where I'd think the gap would be so it must be in a different place than I'm thinking.

no, there will be a gap.

i havent ever seen it in person like that, but im pretty sure its the little arms that go between the headlights and the grill. because the 03cobra hood is a little different because it has to clear the supercharger, so im pretty sure those little arms are slightly longer.

I have seen the gap. The hood on a 03 is smooth and round on the front lip curves down lower . The 99-04 Gt or V6 hood front lip is angular and down not come down as low. The 2 pillars inboard of the headlights are shorter on a 03

You know, now that you mention it and I look carefully, they do look slightly longer. That sucks. No Cobra hood for me. I don't want a Cobra bumper.

The cobra bumper is a different size that the GT/v6 bumper. This is not true for the pre 03 cobras, but 03 up, you have to push the top of the bumper in 2 more inches in order for it to fit correctly. Therefore, the hood is also differerent.

Hard to see, but there is the gap.

And to prove the lines of the hood.

How does that prove the lines of the hood? It just shows you where it sits on the 03 cobra bumper.

The '03 Cobra hood is round. The GT hood is angled and more squared.

If you were to put the cobra hood on a stock 6er or gt, the hood would hang over the front of the bumper lol.

If you want a cobra hood so bad, take mine.

I have the exact same color car as you (Dark Shadow Gray) and I'd like to have the GT hood w/ the scoop.

Wanna trade?
