Some ones a bit exxxcited lol.

Who has been watchin sports on Fox today? I saw they have the 05 Stang and another 05 vehicle (the name slips me right now) as the backdrop for the football castors. Is this just advertising or are they going to give something away? BTW has anyone seen 05 Stang commercials yet?

Some dealers got a very limited shipment, mainly the ford dealers that sell Saleen and SVT... There are some out on the road, like Fisher said, I think I seen the same one last night. I checked the Ford dealers here, and none of them have them, I am kinda curious where the dude here got one. From my understanding, we should all see them at the dealers the 2nd week of November.

Given my choice I would buy an 05 GT.

However, the wifely one might have something to say about it.

If I get executive approval from her to buy one it'd have to be an automatic so she could drive it, which is weird cause she don't drive my cars at all.

They shipped out early real early. The big names dealerships have maybe one or two to order off of. Figure one or two GTs/V6s per DSO. Production will really pick up around Thanksgiving just in time for everyone to have that GT sittin under their X-Mas tree.

I just got the new MotorTrend today and these numbers are awesome. 0-60 in 5.1 sec. For those keeping track at home, that is nearly a second faster than the '99-'04 GTs. The auto Mach 1 mustered a 5.6. And sorry '03-'04 Cobra owners, the GT is .2 to .3 faster than your 390HP beast.

The auto is expected to be sub-five seconds because of the close 1-2-3 shifting. The GT really takes of in 1, 2, and 3 gear and then begins to die off for gas mileage in 4th and 5th gear. The 1/4 mile time is an impressive 13.6@99.9MPH. Prepare to ***** about the suspension if you like it soft. People will complain after the shifter being moved aft after they start driving it compared to the SN-95s shifter.

My V6 now officially sucks.

Right,

I tried to teach her to drive a stick once. Before we were married. I had a 1964 Chrysler 300 with a 413 CI engine and a stick. Ever drive a musclecar with a stout clutch? That's what this was like, she put the clutch in, her leg started shaking and that was it. Never interested in learning again.
