94, 281? Now why does that not sound kosher? What models did saleen make back then? I was too into just trying to get a mustang back then. I didn't even know about saleen at that point.

But, at least they went to all the trouble of getting a fake vin plate to make it look authentic. Makes it easier to jip someone that way. Now, where is the vin so I can get a carfax on it?

Its a replica car, he says so. Plus Saleens are bought, not built. More power to him if he can sell it at whatever he wants, its a nice car but not worth almost 10,000

Yeah, driving something that puts saleen to shame, for a ton less money....but that's just my opinion.

I know he says it is a replica, but I don't remember them have the 281 model back then since it didn't have the 281 engine in it. The 94 v8's were 302's weren't they? THe 281 didn't introduce itself until 96. If he is going to name it a saleen S???, and have it be a replica, the ??? should at least be a model number from that model year.

But, like they say, there is a sucker born every minute, so I am sure someone will pay that price.

they had the saleen 351 back then when they took the 302 and replaced it with a 351 windsor.

The 351 was a god of cars to me. I remember that model, but I don't remember the non-351 model...if one existed. I know they had the S351 and the SR351, or as some called it, the 351 SR. Were there any other models besides those two? I didn't become up on Saleen until 1997. From then on I am good on my knowledge of them, but pre 97, I am a bit stupid about them.

don't quote me, but i am almost sure those were the only two back then. Because I have never heard of anything other than the S281 and the S351 variations and with a stock 302 engine, they had to do something to it.
