Some money coming...what to do?

Ok, I have some cash coming from a settlement as well as some programming jobs in the next couple of months. The question is, what to do with it. I can't save it, that just wouldn't be right. Gotta help Bush's economy for when he gets elected.

In addition to finishing off my Cobra, I am looking at picking up/creating a daily driver to be used to smoke the stock camaros and ricers with. It is no fun in the Cobra...just ins't fair. The above choices are what I am contemplating...

EDIT:
One rule to the other option, it must remain a blue oval product. There will be no foreign NAMED crap in my drveway, even if mazda is for. Must have an oval on it.

from the list above - a 94-95 5.0 cobra but if you want to be out of the norm, put a 5.0 into something you would never think to see it in (nissan 240sx, ford focus, etc, etc).

That's what the 96 explorer option is for. I have a 2 door 96 explorer with a 5 speen manaul. The idea of putting a punched out and build 5.0 (ie 347 stroker) in it I think would be an interesting combo.

One rule to the other option, it must remain a blue oval product. There will be no foreign NAMED crap in my drveway, even if mazda is for. Must have an oval on it.

Thats not a bad idea..ive seen a 5.0 in a ranger, and the explorer is pretty much the same, aside from the body.

contrary to popular belief i think you should get a 99 or 00 v6 stang, slap a 11psi procharger on it, fuel upgrades, p and p, 8.8 gears tlok, then finalize with a chip, heck you could even do nitrous. nothing would be better than seeing a cobra owners face after he gets owned by a v6... or you could just do the above to an 05 but i like 99 and 00s

GSR? as in evo gsr? holy horrible ricer acronym association, why would they name a evo after a dam honda trim level.

i opted for the used 98 or earlier cobra. just the fact that i raced one stock with nitrous and that thing got rubber downshifting from 3 to 2nd, and well, its a cobra, nuff said.

or you could get like a 1st gen eclipse/talon awd for about 2 grand, and put about 3 grand in turbo and fuel upgrades and run 12's on pump gas and good tuning. im shooting for mid 13's whenever i get my settlement for my whiplash in, i dont even have the 3 grand and its already spent.

GSR? that is a mitsubishi term.. as in eclipses????? (like the GST you drive ) Civics have the DX, EX and LX.

MR = Mitsubishi racing = bilstein suspension, titanium turbo, BBS wheels, couple other things
GSR = Normal Evo8 and in 05 they have an upgraded transfer case, Active Yaw Control, front limited slip diff.

I wouldnt get a 95 5.0 Cobra, only because if your going to H/C/I it, you just spent more money to have the cobra name. Unless you plan on keeping the Cobra intake, and the other differences from the GT

I voted for the 05 GT stock. Its a chance to own the latest chapter in the mustang book, if i had the moneys for it i'd definatly get that over anything else on the list.

no, not engine. it's the same engine in both, but GSR is like saying Mustang LX. It is the base model evo. The MR is a slight step up in price (only about 3k) and is a limited edition car.

sorry to get off topic Smurfin

cool with the cobra, but you'd love the 05 Mustang GT better I believe. Plus you can get the aftermarket stuff when it comes out later, so there's no need to spend money on it really.

You could buy a mid 90's stang...bring it to me and pay me to do it up for you j/k. I dunno man...hard to top the cobra...you shouldn't have two cars.. need a truck-type vehicle. So I'd say go with the xploder
