Fast Hondas?

Any fast Hondas in your area?

Theres one around here that's unbelievable. Following the old Honda mantra of using the hatches. He's all motor and runs with the Porshes and came close on a S/C Saleen. (not sure about that one yet.)

The guy around here has Stage 3 Hond-Data, he can hold it at 9,500 RPMs, rods, pistons, block, all of it. He can be in 6th gear and drop it into 3rd and take off. That demands respect.

He's beaten Vettes, Cobras, Porshes, and 5.0s. But, one CRX was gaining on him one night.

lol theres no "proven" fast hondas around here. by proven i mean proven their times at the track, the fastest honduh i see at the tracks is a yellow hatch, b18 with nitrous. runs low 14's. then theres the all race honda which isnt really considered a streetable car, turbo, nitrous, gutted interior, cage, running 11's. he says he spent 15g's on the setup. funny, cause theres a 1g that spend maybe 5g's on his whole car+setup and ran 11's in the opposite lane.

it takes a honda alot of money to go fast. to go fast you need more than some all motor hatch, youre gonna need a power adder. and to be able to run that adder, youre gonna need to do alot of internal work to hold the power, on top of that alot of tuning to make that power. not to mention FWD isnt the most efficient way to make power to the ground.

gotta rub it in dont ya?

more like FWD+Turbo+bad driver=teh suck.

we had my buddy bryans automatic awd talon race my other freind zanes modded gst. zane did a hella good launch and was 1/2 car behind out of the hole, and instantly pulled to 1/2 car ahead after 1st gear. my freinds AWD talon is automatic, so he does a brake stand and builds about 10lbs of boost before launch, so he launches at 10lbs of boost and no wheelspin, and it hurts. 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds. but stock he was no match for a modded gst, who had about 5 cars on him at the time we reached 90.

drag is - AWD>RWD>FWD
autoX is - RWD>AWD>FWD
roll is - FWD>RWD>AWD

lol my bro's monte carlo is front wheel drive. He likes it in some ways....

this one time these guys were goofing around on the street jumping out in the street thinking they were funny trying to impress these girls. So my bro needs to make a left and there they are hoping around like monkies. My bro slams on the gas and the wheels spin hard making a loud screech and the guys jump out of the way quick as hell thinking he's going to roll over them lol His car barely moved, but GOD you can smell the rubber Made the guys **** their pants (This was done on a side street btw, little to no traffic)

hella expensive, because unlike people who have turbo dsm's that bought them new didnt know their potential and sold them, people who bought the 3000gt vr4's knew exactly what they had. and the 3Kgt are even less reliable than modded dsm's.

reliability isnt an issue, but when every person with a gst making 300+hp is on their 2nd or 3rd tranny, and i will be sitting on 3 grand that will put me well past even the 350hp mark, it makes me think, "is it gonna be worth it to pass that 300hp mark and then always wonder when it will blow?" and at 2 grand a pop dsm trannies arent the cheapest and easiest to come by. i dont know, just alot of things to think about.

if i had a 99+ gt that 3 grand would be put towards a black widow 2 body kit and hood, cobra R's and paint. i would have a badass looking(prolly the best looking 99+ in town might i add) and still have a car thats just as fast as my eclipse now, yet the price of the car would cost about 5 grand more than the eclipse did.

id need to sell my eclipse for 11, which i know i can, seeing that my buddy worked for ford, and they wholesaled it cause they couldnt believe it when i showed them the car. it wholesaled at 9500 bucks in good condition and 90k. right now with some mods, rims, and 60k it will be more. and theres a stock gst spyder on autotrade with 100k and they want 13 for it.

so if i got 11k, i still owe 8 on it, id have 3 grand, plus another 3 grand when i get my settlement. finance a 99+ if it was about 11 grand, and dump that 6k into it in mods, 3k for exterior, another 3k for performance.

sorry for the long post, these are things i ponder while im up at 2-3 in the morning and my body is ready to die but my brain is doing the corkscrew at laguna seca.

Theres a couple that I know of, one personally. Its a 98 Integra with a worked motor and vortech on it. That guy used to have an older Galant with turbo. Most of the Hondas around here are lame pieces of rice, i've out done a few in my moms Altima.
