Hatred!!!

In the last few years I have come to realize we have become a Country full of people who are so angry and bitter that it is fracturing our country and will be the reason our society will not fix what is truly wrong with America.. We no longer want to work together to solve problems. We have become polarized by politics and hatred for one another. There was a time not long ago when political parties after an election would reunify as one and get down to business of running our country. But that does not happen anymore. The political back stabbing and politics of personal destruction is rampant and does not stop after elections. There is no let up instead of fixing our country the politicians in Washington would rather do anything they can to make the other party fail including harming the country. This is not just a Democrat or a Republican thing or a Liberal or Conservative thing. It is a sickness consuming all of us IT IS A HATRED THING. We are beginning to hate everything. We have lost the ability to be compassionate or tolerant of others that are different or with different opinions. We are to busy hating. Hate will bring this country down and throw the world into chaos

“HATRED “It is a really powerful word. We have used it so much it really means nothing now. People use it in everyday conversation to describe just about everything.
But what puzzles me is the use of it to describe people we don’t even know or who are leaders of our Country.

I am not a hater, I may dislike someone or something they have done or said but I don’t hate them. I will leave Hate for people who truly deserve it.

Kerry would probably be fun to go wind surfing with as long as he did not talk politics

Clinton would be a riot at a BBQ. You would just not want to smoke a cigar of his or leave your wife with him alone

Bush would be fun just to tag along with on the ranch

Edwards well I dont know about him. he seams like the kind of guy who would like being a prison *****.

Cheney would be fun to smoke cigars and play billards with and discuss personal finances with

Corey, you forgot the [/rant]....lol

I see where you are coming from. Maybe some of what you describe as hate, especially considering politics, is simply an intense (and maybe displaced) desire to see our country run the best way possible. I do not like the idea of Kerry as a president, and I think Bush is a much much better guy for the Presidency.

As far as your descriptions of them as people, 99% of America will never see them that way. And about Clinton, I wouldn't consider a guy who I couldn't trust to smoke one of his cigars (I get the joke, btw), or especially a guy I couldn't trust to be around my wife or gf, to be a friend, regardless of who they were.

A. I did not call Clinton a friend just one of the character you find at large BBQ's who tells good stories but cant keep his hands off of women.

B. Hatred and Intense hostility will not solve our problems they create the opposite in they prevent people from working together.

C. I agree I dont like the idea of Kerry being President but that does not mean I hate him.

OK, i agree wholly with the above post.

I have even seen where people predict that this election will throw our country into a civil war. I don't know how much stock to put into that, lol, but I sure hope not.

I have no issue with Clinton, Bush, Edwards, Cheney..

I have severe issue with Kerry, Fonda and the rest of their group.

Kerry would not be fun to go windsurfing with, Kerry would not be fun to hang out with.

Two people I would like to see meet: Al-Zarqawi and Kerry

See Ken you hate and that is a bad thing. You are consumed by deep hatred and issues you need help. I see the only way to deal with this is to go to the local Kerry office and punch someone in the nose. Keeping these feeling supressed will eat the best of you. So get out there and punch a Kerry supporter in the nose. You will thank me for it later.

I think it had been building for a long time prior, but I think it really came to a head from the 2000 election fiasco. It resulted in some fanatical elements of the left calling Bush's administration illigitemate and the websites like moveon.org came about throwing around a bunch of baseless charges. This led to the polarization of America in my opinion. People who believe these sites and felt jipped by the results of the 2000 election grew to distrust Bush, and people who resent the accusations put forth by all of these sites became more and more angry with the left.

Actually it started around the time of Ronald Reagan first term when the liberal elite called him stupid and Europeans hated him because he was a Republican, Christian and a strong leader. This has continued thru each presidency getting worse and worse each year. Now on the reason for the General population becoming hate filled. We live in a world where people are fed a daily dose of hate, ridicule from the TV and internet.
People have become fixated with the sorrow and pain of others and laugh about it. The Jerry Springer mentality has done this, The news has done this and what we view as entertainment has done this. Stereo Typing, bigotry have also played a big part in this. Comedians have played a part in this as has the whole entertainment industry played a part.

finally, something I agree with Corey on. There is a lot of hatred, and Rick and I were talking the other night, and I really picked up on something that struck me wrong... he said even if Kerry did win, the Republican House and Senate will keep him from doing a damn thing... and that's wrong. Just because he's a democrat doesn't mean all his ideas are bad... just like just because Bush is president doesn't mean all his ideas are good... I think we've clearly seen enough evidence to establish Bush isnt' the smartest man, so why would bush's ideas be more ''easily'' passed??? the Political hatred is one reason... dispite the republicans disagreeing with the democratic ideas of Kerry, if they were so. But yes, I agree with Corey. Not trying to get all up on Rick here, just something I noticed when we were talking about it.

In case you have not noticed The democrats have spent 3 1/2 years preventing Bush from making judicial appointments by filllerbusting on the house and senate floor. They have not been successful in stopping much because so may democrates have voted with the President. But that was all before the Election process even the most cooperative members of the House and Senate are at each other making slanderous remarks and personally destructive remarks.

like Nadar? that **** needs to stop running.... if you add up his total votes in all his elections, he still wouldn't win this year.... and Corey, man, we finally had somethin' going there... and then you do that to me ... I wasn't saying it was a republican problem man... I was agreeing that too many decisions of support or fillibuster are based on politics instead of what's right

Hey My intent was not to slam you just the fact it is ongoing and will continue until the people of the United States have had enough and hold everyone of the politicians accountable for not working together.

No, definitely not Nader. Michael Badnarik would be a good one.

haha, that's because he don't give a ****.... down with socialism... there's a reason they will never win... America isn't a socialist state, it's democratic. That's why if you add up all the socialist votes ever in America, it'll be maybe 4% of the total votes this year.... I was kidding about Nadar, I strongly dislike the man... you'd think he could take a hint and stop running... but no, he's a freggin' moron

<-- not about to accept what Bill Clinton did while in office as ok

Accepting that people is different is ok.

Behavior like that is unacceptable
