because for one, nitrous is a LOT cheaper. I cant afford a $3k blower + fuel and tune.

And two, nitrous is only on when I want it. Makes daily driving much better. With a flipchip I just flip a swtich when I want to go fast.

12's from a 14.91, with the only mod being nitrous? i hope you're not serious. you'd blow up that tiny little 6'er before you could run 12's offa just that. one of my old friends did it... haha

You may get into mid 13s with the nitrous. Your not going to drop 2 seconds unless you spray a hell of a lot, and your car isn't going to be able to handle that

13.5-13.7 is more reasonable.

And when you need it with a sudden impromptu race on the street and the bottle is off, or the switch is on the "slow" setting, or the bottle is empty...you will get spanked like a little girl.

Ride with X horsepower, race with X horsepower...forget the temporary Y horsepower. Never liked giggle juice. It is nice for a quick rush I guess, and if you don't have the money for more. But, I just see it as a band aid for a bigger problem.

Go for it man. I went wit nitrous express 75 shot got me into the high 13s 100 shot got me very close to 12s with major major traction issues. Then again I had a whole lot done to my 6-er Good luck wit it though

BTW tid bit buy 2 bottles and have them always full. I never had an empty bottle in my car plus I had a remote bottle opener woot.

I say take the money you are going to spend on nitrous, hold on to it, and keep adding to it until you get soem more cash then do something that will boost your power all the time. I'm not a big fan of nitrous myself...unless you already have a buncha horses before the oh **** switch is flipped.

I've seen most people with v6's drop from a 15.5 to a 13.5 with just a 100 shot.

My car is capable of a 14.5 with a good launch. 1.5 seconds isnt out of this world to ask for from a 100 shot on a heads/cam motor.

I wouldn't do it...
one of the guys from the club down here had nitrous on his sixxer...
he blew it

plus... even if you're doing a small shot... its still going to eventually fry your rings and you're going to have problems with the car... especially if its a daily driver.

Think of all the OTHER goodies you could get for your mustang other than nitrous...

then he didnt have it setup right. Nitrous is just as harmful as boost if not done/tuned correctly.

What else can I buy? I have everything else.

there's always something else to buy...
rims, bumpers, gauges...
I just wouldn't go for the nitrous.
Why don't you just save your money and then invest in a supercharger later?

got rims, got bumpers, got every other go-fast mod.

nitrous is the way to go. Boost is wayyyy to $$$. My setup will cost less than $1k.

why does everyone say wet?

the splitport intake sucks for spraying fuel through, and has been known to puddle.

Dry shot, with 80mm maf, 42lbs/hr injectors and SCT flipchip is where its at.

if you have EVERYTHING else, im assuming you have builtup the internals? <shrugs> because in that case, yea... go ahead and do your nitrous, it can handle it. but other than that, im strongly opposed.

no, bottomend is the only thing stock on the motor.

With the right setup why should I be afraid? Pete's making 400+ rwhp on a stock 4.2 v6.

With proper setup/fuel/tune it should work flawlessly.

Just because a few people you know blew up their motors doesnt mean anything...it tells me they prob just slapped on a big a shot and expected the car to take it.
