Do you guys think this is a good deal?

http://store.cal-mustang.com/cm_able...=4557&CATID=20

I just made around $360 from my birthday and I'm expecting a $450 check this week from AutoZone. That puts me way over my goal for my duals.

Now the question is, do you guys think this is worth it? I really don't feel like dropping $550 on Magnaflows and I figure this would be the most logical thing next to leaving it stock.

Opinions?

Well I dont need to worry about labor fees to put them in...My neighbor is a mechanic and owns his own garage. He's got a lift and he's already offered to put them in free of charge. Not only that, he's got a dyno and we're gonna run the car before the exhaust and after.

That would seem like a great deal, but actually you have to figure in shipping and such and the fact it doesnt come with an h-pipe or the other parts needed to install it. Once you figure that in, it'll actually be more expensive. And as far as mufflers go, I'll probably buy the mac flowpaths around christmas time.

nice but i dont see a point in getting a gt exhaust then swapping out the mufflers. seems like a huge waste of money, and a 1 back and 2 steps forward kinda deal.

i wanted to do a sick *** exhaust on my tbird, but to pass smog, it would need 3 cats, so i went to my local shop, and they told me 400 bucks for true dual 2.5", using a dodge ram 2-2 center catalytic converter(2 in 2 out style) and 2 high flow cats, and flowmasters.

i say look around, i think you can find a better way than dropping all that for a stock gt exhaust, then more for mufflers, when some shop can prolly do it for 30% less in the end.

If you want to stay street legal then i'd say go with the take-offs. Personally I'd go with a full manifold back exhaust setup for maximum performance, this all depends on what other mods you have planned for the future.

If your talking about buying gt take offs then the whole point of buying those is that they are stainless steal and will bolt up to a h pipe.

It doesnt cost much to swap the mufflers out
