punk *** kids(attempted theft)

yeah someone tried jacking my car last night. woke up so my horn going off(stock keyless entry panic mode) so got dressed, went ouside. went to turn off the alarm and it wouldnt go off, so i unlocked the doors to pop the hood, but realized the hood was already popped. so i open it and pull the + battery cables. so i look around, and notice my window has smears on it, as if someone wiped away the dew and was looking at my ****.

so i walk around to the other side, where i notice theres some sort of cable coming out of the space between the headlight and the drivers fender. clever *****es, they tried to get into the engine bay by grabbing the cable, splicing it and pulling it to pop the hood. in doing so the panic went off and they ran like *****es.

so the fender now has a nice 1" gap between it and the headlight, but that ****'ll buff out. its the dam cable that needs replacing.

so the cars down till it gets a new cable from mitsu, which will be hopefully friday, but more than likely monday. and that cable was a pita to get out, had to take apart the hood latch assembly, take the fender off and take apart the inside latch assembly. major suckage. too bad they didnt manage to steal the whole car, i couldve gotten a 1st gen awd then.

my advice is to go to your nearest sporting goods store and buy a shotgun. keep it where you can get to it quickly.

oh, and you really need to cover up the subs. thats just asking to get broken into. if the theives know what they're doing, an alarm won't make any difference.

Idea. Window tint.

If someone wants it, they'll get it.

Tint definatly.

Doms right though, no matter what you do theres someone out there that knows more, hopefully that person doesnt want whats on your wheels. First thing I do every morning when I wake up is go out and check on my car, I live aroudn the block from one the most "thug populated" schools in the city and i'm always seein kids starin into my car, i dont leave anything out in the open though, I take my faceplate and my EQ is pretty recessed as to where you cant see it at night.

Yeah I was thinking like 5% window tint thats for sure with your new stereo setup there...if they know whats in there now, they will most likely be back to get what they are wanting!

And yes I dont recall anybody in my life having so much car breaks in and events like yourself!

Alarm with built in shotgun warning lol. Nah, just get an alarm and an extra big horn...get like a 200 db horn..I think I'm gonna buy one of those for my car, or just hook my siren into it..that'll warn em away and wake up the town

lol and i live in a more upper class neighborhood. and no i cant get any guns, besides, i dont really like guns, im more of a "hands on" type of guy. its prolly best if i didnt find them, as id prolly be behind bars right now.

ah you also remember when i parked at the baseball game and some kids ripped off my gauges, yeah that sucked, i just did get new guages finally last week.

im still waiting for that 3 grand settlement from god dam farmers insurance, theyre total dum****s there and more than likely ill be suing them. so 2 grand into my turbo+supporting mods and another 1 grand into lower, tint, possibly paint. i cant wait.

oh and my car now gets the garage. moms *****ing but dads like, "umm neon vs a eclipse, dear, you lose"

Haha...still sucks though, I've watched someone try to get in my car.. pulled door handle, alarm goes off. I walked outside to reset my alarm and walk right up to the guy and tell him to never touch my car again. Alarm wasn't set off the rest of the year, go figure.

That would be about the time I would start putting my car in a garage... Them kids werent stupid, they were on the right track. I am pretty sure they werent going to take the whole car. Im not going to go into a how-to on how to steal a car or a car stereo, but I think they was planning on opening the hood and yanking the alarm horn out. Obviously they couldnt get the hood opened fast enough and got scared like a deer caught in headlights. With the glass things, Fisher is right, most likely they wouldnt get a print off the window. Plus, I would hope for thier sake, they were smart enough to wear gloves.

Regardless, watch your car for the next couple nights... Usually they wait a few nights and come back. The idea of a camcorder watching the car is a good one, not only for the cops to use, but for insurance purposes too.

If you catch one of them, kick him once for me...

I believe the reason ppl leave my car alone is because there's so many other easier cars to get into they don't want to bother with mine. I live in the back corner of an apt complex so they could come do it if they want, but I have alot of neighbors with the rims and speakers in their tahoe's, so I figure they'd get broken into first. Tint and an alarm have saved me several times I believe.

Damn dude I can see why they wanted to rip your ****. You obviously have alot of faith in good citizens to not have an alarm or tints esp wit the crystal clear view of that box in back. But very very stupid move. Def get an alarm and tints before you try investing into anything else.

Dont feel bad though I didnt have an alarm in my 6-er and they ended up smashing my windows and taking my 3 grand system I had in to it. Worse was my tints silenced the smash and none of my neighbors heard it even though my car was parked right next to their damn house.

Live and learn (btw didnt you learn the first time when they took your gauges come on man stop be ignorant)

why can't you get any guns? according to your profile you're old enough.

anyways, i wouldn't take on a thief unarmed. there have been a lot of robberies and home invasions around here. the thieves are definately armed.
