I'm new to this forum. Just wanted to ask a rookie question. What is the difference between my LX 5.0 and a GT 5.0?

Dam.. 50lbs.. I will have to fab something mine will be coming out soon.. I like my fog lights..
I like mine too, but I think they are going bye bye when I do the cobra grill on mine. Probably going to run ducts to my brakes.

I'm going to fab up a "takeoff boot" out of aluminum to direct the air flow from the fog light cut out up to the air filter. I will probably use some of the aluminum flexible duct to direct the air flow upwards.
Because of the supercharger air intake and the size of my air filter (Anderson Power Stack 10" Long, 6" Clamp-On Air Filter), my MAF and the filter will have to be mounted inside the fender well. Because of that I intend to partially seal off the area between the inner and outer fender so it becomes pressurized a bit at speed, leaving provisions for drainage if it is driven in wet rainy conditions.
If it appears that the single fog light hole will not be large enough to feed the supercharger, then I will duct air from the driver's side over to increase the air flow using the flexible aluminum ducting.

Yup. :good:
I'm going to try and keep mine as high up as possible to minimize the chance of water ingestion if I get caught in a rainstorm and by sealing it off as much as possible I hope to cut down on some of the dirt and debris that normally collects in there.

A piece of flat aluminum help?

That's what I have planned now. I believe some 14 gauge aluminum will work nicely. :good:

 Nope!
Drives the wife crazy because I'm always re-engineering/rebuilding something to make it better. As "most" of my repairs, rebuilds etc., work and frequently turn out to be much better she doesn't gripe at me too much. ;)

I think ill have to go entire different way w fab cai. I gave lx so no fog lights or holes. Will a gt bumper fit bolt on an lx? Otherwise maybe cut some holes lol. I have stock airbox now. Don't know if supposed to be that way, prob not, but side seems to be cut out and its kinda wedged against side I have to pry one clip open. I need to do sonething get a lot of debris in there that settles at bottom.

If you can get pictures of your front end and the issue you describe above, we'll see if we can't figure out something. :good:

Yes, a GT bumper should bolt on, but the trim may not match.

When I get a chance here comes the endless weekend. I was planning on taking trim off, didn't think about bumper other than filling in groove. I just started a garage yesterday, and this morning got sd card reader so could put all pics on ps3 then back onto bigger sd. Redowload apps yada yada. Of course I probably could just take another pic when get to work later lol. I don't think have any Already. This will probably come a ways down road but good to know.

Took a couple pics. If u see the orange globes in side light those are blinker bulbs. My retainer slightly broken so doesn't fit all the way, susp stiff hit bumps they fall out lol. Last one I just put electrical tape to hold in. Now for point of reply..took a couple front end pics..

Ok, here is what I would probably try to do in your situation. The "scoop" could maybe be purchased from a heating and cooling place if you don't want to fab your own. Just ask them to show you some "take offs" and "floor vent boots" for duct work.

This could be used to force feed (to a certain extent) cold air up to your current air intake box or an aftermarket CAI.
