How does Ford's winter break effect production?

I just ordered my 5.0 on 20 November. Does anyone know how the winter break Ford's employees take in December effects Mustang Production? Without the break I would imagine I would have the car by the end of January (approximately 8 weeks), but with the break I assume I may be in for the long haul.

Hmm, okay thanks. I'll assume it'll be a couple of week delay and continue to hope I am wrong.

I ordered mine on 10/5. Plant closed down for 3 weeks and didnt reopen till after Thanksgiving. Mine was built 12/3. I thought that was a long enough break for Flat Rock.. Just sayin..

Well I ordered the 5.0 8 weeks ago today, and I don't even have a VIN yet. The dealership says the factories have communicated nothing since they were shut down for the holidays. The long wait in the information void continues...

Finally got some information today. They will have a VIN for me on Friday (nearly 11 weeks after I ordered the car), and they expect it to be delivered the first week of March, more than 16 weeks after I ordered the car!!!! Unbelievable. I think mine may be one of the last 2013s made.

Well I finally got the VIN, more than 10 weeks after I ordered the car. As it turns out my car will be one of the first 2014s instead of one of the last 2013s. Apparently when the factory takes that winter break they use that time after the holidays to re-set for the next model year. So the last '13 was produced in 2012, and the first cars to roll off the line in 2013 are 2014s. I think I am most shocked at how out of touch and uninformed the dealership is. How do they not already know this? How do they not know what the last date to order a certain model year is? Maybe they just don't care, but I think it's their business to know these things and care.

I went through the same thing when I ordered my 13 on Jan 4 2012, no one at the dealership could tell me their ass from their elbow let alone any info on the car, my Stang, which was supposed to be "one if the first ones in Fl" wasn't delivered until May 21st. So I managed to get them to pay for a rental car for the time between the promised delivery date and actual delivery date..... I rented a mustang!! Lol

Wow, that's not too bad of a deal. So far my dealership has promised to honor the 2013 price we signed on, even though the 2014s cost a little more. This of course is the absolute bare minimum they should be doing for me. Imagine if they told me "we jacked up your Mustang order, you aren't even going to receive the model year you ordered....oh, and it's going to cost you some more money".
