Anyone have any experience with a H pipe and axle backs? I have been running Bassani Axle backs, was looking to add a little deeper sound with the added bonus of picking up a few HP. Got it hooked up this evening and it is obnoxiously load.

Sounds great at idle, but as soon as you get into the gas it's LOUD..and I mean wake up the neighborhood loud. Does it break in any at all?

The Bassani's where a lot louder when I first installed them, but they seemed to mellow out after a few heat cycles. Any chance the H pipe will?

Thanks for any input, at this point I am probably taking it back off. This is my daily driver, and I work odd hours if it doesn't tame down any I will have no choice.

Lmao my 3.7 screamed with lethal h and Pype-Bombs and I mean SCREAMED :D. I loved it. And all I can say is FCK the neighbors, they don't pay my car payment.

Drove it this morning to the drop at the shop on my way to work, I actually love the sound until about 3k RPM. Then it goes incredibly raspy...

Did use it though..had a Jeep pull out right in front of me. Went around him at about 4k. Probably scared the crap out of him, I know my ears where hurting. lol The muffler shop thinks they can fix the raspy sound, I hope so I love the deep sound it has until it goes stupid.

Just got it back, much better with the resonators. Still a little rasp about 2700 to 3200 rpm but then it goes completely away. I can deal with that, it quieted it down almost a little to much but I can live with it. I couldn't live with it the other way.

Got a nice tone to it and does seem to have picked up a little more power. No idea how much, but a little at least.

So I would say with resonators its a nice upgrade. Plan to get them, unless you like screaming load raspy exhausted cars.

Defiantly a noticeable difference in power.

I am running a Airrad CAI, with a Bama 93R tune, Bassani axle backs, and the Lethal Performance O/R H pipe with the resonators. Each mod has made a noticeable difference, but I think this was the most noticeable one.

Day two of running the resonators and what rasp was left seems to be going away. It's not totally gone but a lot less than yesterday. Tuesday night I hated it, today I love it. So if your on the fence about it go for it but don't even bother starting it until the resonators are on..lol
