What would be a fair price for a 1996 GT Cobra? I don't know the mileage but the paint is flaking off bad, a/c needs gassing up, seats are covered so they must be in bad shape, it has a 4.6L 5 speed and aftermarket wheels. That is all I can think of now. I think it may be a diamond in the rough but it could also become a money pit! What do you guys think?
Thanks guys, I was thinking it probably wasn't a cobra too. The emblem doesn't look right for a Cobra. It may just be a GT. I haven't even gone to look at it yet, the seller is asking $2000 on our local swap-n-shop.
the 1996-98 GT 4.6L's arn't that good, I think they actually pushed less power than the old 5.0 it replaced. If you want a 4.6 go with a 99 or newer.
If you like the 1994-98 body style go with a 1994-1995 GT.
actually the non pi 4.6 was an upgrade over a stock 5.0. yes stock for stock a non pi 4.6 has lest hp then a pi 4.6, but with a pi swap thanks to the compression difference it becomes a fair bit quicker then a stock 99-04.
as for the car in the picture i wouldn't pay more then 1700 cash if it's engine and trans are in good shape.

This was a hypothetical race, in a hypothetical town, on a hypothetical road. And I have no clue what was done, we just pulled up to a hypothetical red light and let em loose. If you catch my drift. I was also shifting at 6 grand, and it's faster if I shift it at about 53-5500.
