So I've been wondering what things i can do/buy to make my engine bay look cleaner/nicer? I see people with different color wires and such but I don't see any on American muscle
The ugliest parts of my engine are the intake manifold and air box. You can cover the manifold, but unless you buy a CAI, you're stuck with the air box. You MUST detail the engine bay. Beyond that, there are bolt kits, and a truckload of other changes you can make. It all depends on the look you'd be going for.
Nothing, I guess, if you're into that sort of thing... : Since most of the chrome stuff you could get is really plastic, I just don't think it goes with the look of the S197. For me, aluminum just works better. I didn't even like the plastic-chrome faux gas cap on the rear end, so I put an aluminum ring on mine.
I went with flat black accents with the rest of the black. My Cold air intake is chrome, but I plasti dipped it along with my strut tops which were a little rusty.
Thank you! That's exactly what I was going for, simple and clean. I really wasn't a fan of my chrome intake, but after a little plastidip, I love how my engine bay looks.
