Hey guys I've got a 2008 Pony Package V6 automatic. Other than the engine itself, engine harness, PCM, driveshaft, and 8.8" rear axle. What else will I need to complete a 3V swap?
Yeah it's got the Pony Package suspension, but I've got Koni shocks and struts and SR springs and Eibach camber bolts and a J&M steel adjustable panhard bar in my garage right now
Honestly the 3v is not a bad motor. Just not the best setup ford has came out with. I had fun with mine, just started getting bad blow by after all my abuse I was throwing at it.

He means the rings failing. Doing the v8 swap is never worth it unless it's a really clean 4 banger Fox and you have a complete donor car. You will spend double your planned budget btw... been there. It sucks but get your 6er paid down and trade it in or sell it and get a v8.

I've had my 3v 4.6 for 8 months and so far I have no complaints with it. However, it is still stock (with only a custom tune) and I've only DD'ed it with spirited driving.
The only thing I wish it had was the amazing sound (just my opinion) of the Coyote.
Out off all my mustangs the best sounding was my 03 GT and then my 03 cobra. I was not a fan of my 3v. My coyote had a good tone just not a mustang sound
