Hey guys,
The '81 fox i picked up a few months back is finally about to get some goodies on her. Right now, I'm debating where to get an engine from. I'm aiming for a Carburated Engine... not efi so I don't have to fool with a computer system, and other little things. I'm aiming for 350-450 hp, nothing to much more but nothing less.

I've found a few places, from a local engine shop, to dss racing, and pro-formance motors.

here's the one I really have in mind as a drop in turn key deal

Ford engines, ford performance engines, 302, 347, crate engines

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as any guides I maybe able to follow, for complete restoration. I'm going to finish my outside first, and see how bad the state it is in right now.

sit down and plan the build dont make changes the entire way... define your budget (be realistic...) and decide what you can and can not do and go for it... dont constantly change your mine and decide to go different ways or you will never get done and when you finally are you will have something that has a **** done to much money invested in it and that you are not happy with.

carb motors are for people that need to go cheap, only for a drag car (also cheaper), and those that do not have the ability or money to create and run a FI setup~
