ok , this is my problem, i have americang racing wheels torq trust II 17 x 9.5 all around with 245 45 17 in the front and 285 40 17 im the backon my v6 2001, dont know the offset / back spacing of the wheels,
..at full lock the wheels rub against the swaybar, i will buy new rims, at AM , bullit style 17 x 9 ( 275 40 17)and 17 x 10.5(315 35 17), but i dont want that the front wheels rub agaibst the swaybar with my new rims,
any advice?? should i go with 17 x 9 front or 17 x 8??
THe problem is the 9" rim. GT's come with 8" rims. Cobras have a limiter on the steering that prevents them from going far enough to rub that's why they don't rub. If you buy the plastic limiters for yours steering rack you too could have 9" rims without rubbing.
I wouldn't worry about and and just don't go full lock.
I like the 9's better...they looking meatier...and they help in stopping and cornering I think.
