What do you think about my new badge, I designed this part myself and am thinking of having it made to replace my current GT badge on the trunk. The reference is slightly obscure if you haven't taken physics, just read my profile.

I dont know if your familiar with the program inventor, but its a 3d modeling program that I designed the part. there is a website called shapeways that does 3d printing. i am going to have it 3d printed and then im going to paint and stick it on.

I don't know much about physics, but it sounds like a formula for how much your ticket will be :)
1) I have yet to get a ticket in my mustang. Honestly I'm not sure why. I know I have certainly earned one by now. 2) have a friend with a suburu and a license plate frame with the full equation on it. He got pulled over and the officer was familiar with the equation and said if he could calculate the time it would take for him to go from where is to where the cop saw him at his current speed he would let him go. He did and didn't get a ticket. I love that story and it makes me smile everytime I tell it.

That's cool! For years my handle for everything car and bike related was F=MA....same general idea but, yours'd make a better badge :)

You could probably knock this up in Sketchup pretty quick, for those who don't have a professional-grade modelling program to use. Sketchup's free from Google.

Solidworks has a student version too. I use the regular version for a living. Used inventor for quite a while before switching to sw. Both good programs though.
Ya they really are almost identical. I've designed other parts for my car with inventor and that's the one I learned first so it's more natural for me. The other parts were my antenna delete pieces.

Interesting and cool and all... But why?
Why not? Haha. Well it started with not liking the original gas cap. So I took it off and just keep the small gt part in the middle. Then I got bored one day and wanted to design a part for my car so I chose to make a new rear badge. When I was finished I really liked it and decided to make it. It's the ultimate combination of math nerd and fast car. And it matches my license plate.
