Lol I'm thinking of doing the same since I just ordered my slotted n drilled rotors. I've been on YouTube and a lot of people paint em with vht n they look great
I used duplicolor engine enamel, they have more colors with the engine paint and its just as durable as caliber paint. All auto stores, pepboys, advance auto, salvo, they all carry it. Here's what red or yellow look like.
Yah engine enamel and caliper paint are the best as they are high temp paints...they won't flake and peel due to the heat dispersion from braking.
The most common colors - black, red, yellow, grey, blue etc. are available in these paints...as said just go to an auto parts store. Make sure you clean them off real good before painting, use a wire brush to remove the grime and dust. Also, a coat or 2 of clear will make them pop more, so it might be worth it to pick up a can of clear enamel too.
Believe it or not I used Sonic Blue touch up paint on my calipers lol. 1 toothpick, 2 foam brushes and a handful of Q-tips and they were done...everyone told me that paint wouldn't last, it'd flake off after a month...sh*t's still on there and it'll be 2 years this june
For a drop like mine and Venomouz's you'll probably want to get new shocks/struts and cc plates. Technically you can most likely bring the suspension geometry back to stock specs with the stock plates but the adjustable aftermarket ones are much nicer and easier to work with.
Very true...just remember to cover the entire area from the fender well to the fender, bumper, doorskin and windows. We did that on my buddy's GT and sprayed his calipers with spray paint...no overspray problems. Just take your time and prep accordingly.
I just bough the springs for 150 their maxspeed. I'm saving up a bit more for shocks which will be around 300. So of u want a full kit it's going to be like 6-700 bucks. I just got the springs for now

Oh yea cc too I forgot. But I just got em cuz everyone said to get em. When I had it dropped for a couple weeks before my cc got here there was no prob
This and painting my bezel and stuff inside yellow will be next project. So many custom things I can do to make my ride look spiffy, I love this forum!
My entire drop plus upgraded suspension cost me roughly $1200 after discount. And I still gotta buy and install LCAs to get close to finishing.
My drop was roughly 1.8" front and rear.
I cut a coil in the back and 1.5 coils in the front, 1.5 inch drop for free lol, it is a little stiffer, but not horribly bad like everyone says.
