Hat would be the best way to go on tinting the tail lights on my 05 gt?

What* and here's a pic
Id go to a professional to get them tinted. Not that expensive. Bout 30-50 for both. If u r experienced u can do the spray tint but if u don't know what ur doing id go with the professional. I had a extra set of stock tails and tried the spray tint....didn't turn out so well. Or u can buy the smoked tails if u got the extra cash. I just got the raxiom tails for mine and they look great but they was 125. Just depends on how u wanna go. Or ebay has the pre cut tint also

I originally used spray tint, looked good matte black but wanted to go darker since you could still see the red teflon through the lens when unlit, so I got covers, lovin every bit of them! Perfect fit & perfect darkness plus can take them off if needed. When I took the spray tint off it destroyed my tails. No Bueno.

+10 if u r a professional maybe try the spray butter otherwise go professional or purchase covers like this guy or just get new tails all together if u got the funds

I personally like covers because they are darker... Plus covers help if you live in California like I do where it is actually illegal to tint your tail lights, with covers if I get a ticket it is only a fix it ticket so I just take the covers off and get the ticket repealed.

how do those covers work? are they a snapon thing or what ?
They are a high grade tinted plastic and they have super strong double sided tape on the tab that gets stuck onto the inside of your trunk above the lights. They fit into the gaps around your lights and stay in pretty good, they pop out sometime but you just push them back in and your good to go. Youll never lose them because the sticky part is locked into your trunk. And also if a cop pulls you over for them you can just pop them off and not have to buy new lights. I HIGHLY SUGGEST THESE :)

Really? I didn't know. And yes as the others say I suggest the covers as well! They bulge out the inner lines inbetween each individual taillight and really flows if you have a decklid panel. And yeah they're either on sale or they dropped the price to $50. And with the discount are really affordable. I lost one of mine so I took the other off and just ordered a new set yesterday. Here's a pic from when I had them with a nonblack stang. (pic is old)
