I have looked at the stickies and seen the number but what's in your opinions what's the best cobra or or explorer or tubular I found a good price one explorer intake about 200$ and not sure if it's worth the investment.. I'm not going forced induction or anything basic bolt ons for a little more but it's still just a cruzer..

They are all about the same performance wise, so it comes down to your preference. I like the more "stock" look of the explorer intake, and it's the cheapest option out of the three unless you find a killer deal on either of the others. 200 seems a little on the high side price wise but still not too bad. Maybe you can talk him down some.

I don't know the exact flow numbers. But I think they are all similar. The only problem with the tubular is it can't be ported.
But it looks so good. Lol and it's harder to find and the most expensive.

Auto part Engine Vehicle

This is what she looks like. Comes with upper and lower intakes it would be 215$ when it's all said and done for with shipping.. Is that too much? It looks pretty clean..

Well I found a few at the 150 range but that's just for the upper

Not sure about the Explorer, but I recently read an article with a Dyno test and a Cobra can be ported out to perform as well as a Holley Systemax. I'd bet the Explorer could also be ported out to the same level. :good:

They normally go for 100-150 around here, junk yards generally have them fairly cheap.

I know the feeling. I got lucky with mine, only paid 100 for it.
Could you tell a difference swapping out your stock one.. Was it hard and what all do you need?

Well I did a H/C/I swap so I could feel a difference. It's not hard, especially just the intake. Can't remember what is needed for just the intake.
