A leak basically sounds like air getting blown out of a tube. Haha.. No way to really explain it other than: pfft pfft pfft pfft pfft.
They can occur for a number or reasons on any car at any time. Seals bust and joints come apart. Even factory new cars have flaws sometimes. If your car still has a warranty and is still in stock trim then take it to the dealership. They will surely be able to pin-point it and fix it. Sometimes a leak just requires a new gasket(header to midpipe joints) or just get tightened up some.
I think it sounds more like, pshhh pshhh pshhhh lol
This happened to a buddy of mine a week after he installed his axle backs. He just went under and tightened the clamp down and away the leak went. Hopefully it's that easy for you and not a bigger problem!
I have no warranty and a welder of need be? It's all stock exhaust. But I'll most likely take it to the muffler shop in my town instead of my local crappy dealership
