I am looking at doing hood struts as my next mod after I install my CAI. Is there really any difference....I have seen the Roush, the MMD, and the Redline. I am looking for ease of install and durability.
I have the MMD struts ... can't comment on any of the others, but these work perfectly. You have to re-locate the sound tube (not hard, but the hardest step IMO) ... which I did ... but I eventually removed the sound tube regardless.
I have MRT, and they have been great for years. NO drilling, dont take up nearly as much room (easier to work around) then Redline as well. I would recommnd MRT brand.
Love my Redlines. There is no drilling on them now--that was an older design. AFAIK, they mount to the fender using the same bolt as all the hinge bracket designs. In any case, it's far enough out of the way that they aren't *in* the way.
