Ok, so I have a 1994 v6 and I am trying to figure out which route will be cheapest to get 500-550hp. To buy, and turbo and cover a 3.8 to a 4.3. Or swap in a 5.0?

I can get mid 13's N/A on street tires lol what's wrong with his car?

He should be faster than 11's come on haha

Guess they both need better traction
Good for you!!... (Clapping hands sarcastically). The point of this thread was which way was easiest to get big HP gains!.. Not who runs what with whatever car!.. The OP has a certain HP goal that he wants to reach and even said he doesn't care to build a BA V6 car!.. Yes anyone can throw FI onto their car and get 100hp "easily"!.. But if your gaol is to reach a certain HP # the easiest way, then yes a V8 is better than a V6!.. Same as a 3v is better than a 2v, or 4v better than a 3v, and the Terminator topping them all except the Coyote!..

Getting tired of threads getting off topic from what the OP originally asked!.. All because some one starting to get butt hurt!.. People need to stay on topic with threads like this!..

I would be highly upset if i had a 620hp car that didnt break into the 10s
Like I said before, he banned from the track because he won't put in a roll bar!.. So don't know what his car will really do!..

Well just for comparison I can be running mid to low 13s with just a set of 4:10s!.. Seeing as I have just stock gears right now!..
Nice to know

I have a v6. Trying to decide if I shuld build it up for 350-400hp or buy a gt/cobra 1995 and do trickflow + bolt ons to reach my power goals.
Go V8!.. There's no way you'll reach 400hp on a V6 without going FI!..

Now i use to own an 04 GT and if i recall it took more then gears to dip low 13s....what mods do you have just curious...

Also lets be honest a 2v v8 wont see 400 without FI all the same. What ive been trying to tell OP is that for what he wants to do going big power isnt really needed. What he needs to research is suspension.

CAI, 75mm TB with matching Plenum, TB Spacer, MSD Coils, Pullies, Tune, O/R X-pipe and cat back exhaust!..

And to be honest, you can throw on every bolt-on onto a V6 and SC it and still may not see 400hp!.. Where as you can do the same on an old school 5.0 (what the op keep referring to) and get well over 400hp!..

400 is well within reach for a v6 with FI...i've helped personally on a v6 that made 420ish rwhp and around 460 ft lbs of tq on an m112...and it wasn't some huge cost out of pocket. yes you can do the same with a 5.0 of course...the dyno day we had two weeks ago saw a couple foxes full bolt ons and with nitrous hitting the 400 range.

Hey 1slosix, Do u know anything about the supercoupe motor?
if you can find a donor car you'd enjoy it...a proper m90 build can leave you very happy power vs weight wise. check on youtube for m90 builds...you'll see a couple walking s197 GTs lol.

No matter what you do in the way you need to research well ahead of just diving in. I mean deep research :good:

What if I buy a soupercoupe motor and swap out the crank to a 4.2l crank?

Craigslist is full of whacko's. You could have the first 2003 terminator off the lot and put it on craigslist for 30k and have 20 people ask you if you will take 800 dollars and a snickers bar for it.
So true!
