So the other day my car overheated going down the interstate. So I pulled over and let it cool off once it was back down to normal I started it up and started driving it just trying to get to the next exit. But it never got hot again so I finished my drive home. Checked the antifreeze level and it was a little low so I added some. Then today I took it for a drive and my temp gauge never warmed up at all after about a 20min drive. when I got home I popped my hood and there was a lil bit of antifreeze under where the top hose connects to the engine but doesnt look as if the hose connection is where it is leaking. I have no idea whats going on any ideas??
I had a problem with my daily driver. Not a Stang. As long as I didn't go on the interstate, it didn't leak. The pressure from the higher speeds caused a leak on the head gasket. It was such a small leak that if any fluid leaked it didn't form a little leak pool.

Do a pressure test on your coolant system for leaks. Where did you buy your thermostat? If its autozone I'd chuck it and go buy oem. A cheap one can stick too.
Well i checked the thermostat last night it works fine in water. And ik there isn't antifreeze in my oil so i hope it's not a head gasket. But yes i did get it from AutoZone. Iv never done a pressure test is it hard to do? How do you do it?
Think maybe you could have busted the thermostat housing?
