A list of mods and recent parts that he replaced would help a lot in troubleshooting your issue(s).
Whatever you do don't go back to him.. He clearly has no idea what's going on with your car.

He's probably working on your car with a hammer.
I'd take a car running perfect, change a spark plug to one that's junk, take it to him and see what he says. If he comes back with a godawful diagnosis and price(and you knowing its just a bad plug), you know he's shady as ****

Yea he said he purchased a special tool to read the codes an I told him it obd1 and he said it wasn't (but it is an obd1) and yea I don't wanna spend to much money on this so there is gotta be a point were I have to say that is enough

Ya, I agree. I took my '95 in to a guy one time for an inspection and he told me he hooked it up and ran codes and said I needed like $900 worth of repairs. I asked him how he checked for codes and he said with a scanner, I asked for my keys and told him I was going somewhere else because he was lying, he got mad so I asked him to show me the scanner port. He tried to bull**** me and showed me a empty wire harness. I laughed and told him that wasn't a OBDII port, he got mad again and wouldn't give me my keys back till I threatened to call the BBB and the cops
