So my 98 GT needs a new engine. I was looking into the M6007a50Na. I understand I need the control pack, alternator and PS/AC kits. Do I need anything else? Also, what shops do you guys recommend in Miami to do this job? I was thinking on adding headers but with new engine how do I know what would fix?

I dont know too many shops down here in miami in pompano however id send u to mustang specialties on dixie hwy. There is esr which is in hialeah however not too much good credit. Ill check around or ask my mustang club since im out here with them at lunch

Imo while you have the engine that u want outside the car is when i would install the headers. If they are long tube u will need a shorty x pipe then the rest of the exhaust.

Btw what motor are u putting in? I dont know the motor by part number lol however im asking cause i know in 98 they changed from coil pack to coil on plugs half way down the year.

Ok i did my research its the 5.0 4v.....besides ecu harness with coils and fuel line modification since our years it return style u may need modifying motor mounts to have it fit as well as electronic modules for the electronic throttle the sensors that go on the pedal and all the other pretty things to make that motor run

What did happen to the old motor?

The problem with the engine is that I took it to a mechanic in Hialeah and they did a compression test and broked one spark plug thread. The engine has 200k miles so I guess is better for me to go ahead with a new engine. The M6007a50na is the so called aluminiator with 412 hp. But if I really have to do all those changes I don't think is a good idea then. All I have seen is I have to buy 3 kits and that the engine will go perfectly. I have also heard about blow by racing but the towing will be about $200... Ouch. So many things to think about but that engine is sweet. There's another engine (sc instead of na) that the compression is 9:1 instead of 11:1

Thought about that. The car outside is 8/10 and interior is 9.5/10 and is the one with 17' rims, leather seats and the one that came with premium sound. Also, if I use the same $$ I can buy a used Cobra but with miles in the engine and without really knowing what problems will come with. If I get this engine I will have 2 yrs/24k miles warranty. It will be like buying a new car in a way.

imo, you can buy new heads for the stang, since they only stripped one spark plug entry it could always be fixed with the rethreading stuff however i dont like to compromise it, hence y i suggest new heads. and if you are spending 8k or so for a motor, 1500 for tfs heads, 600 for cams, 150 for valve springs, could beef up the internals like forged crank and rods, drop the compression since pi heads will raise it to 10.5:1 unless u want that high of a compression to go on boost later, i mean really and truly its up to you, if my head goes you can bet imma replace my pi heads with another set and possibley upgrade the heads before install.

Edison 1 trick pony is good. They specialize in mustangs and I have a few more numbers on my laptop I can give you when I get home I'm on my mobile. Didn't know there were so many Miami guys on here we all need to meet up!
eddison pony imo is overpriced on their things, some of the things they sell for parts i can find cheaper on cl or at a junkyard cause practically they are a junkyard. however they do good work. as to all of us in miami, we should pm each other numbers so we could meet up and chill.

heard of them, know them, had a 5.4L mustang tuned by them. im well aware of them
imo, they are really good and chris does awesome, if your worried about the block they prob sell a nice block ready to hold alot of power, as well as mmr (modular mustang racing) imo 8k i would have a motor capable to destroy ppl lol. but yeah i know where bbr is.

So I called BBR but they really don't know what they need to do since they wanted me to bring the car and starting working without making a quote. In the other hand power by the hour in Boyton knows more about it since the owner has a 97 cobra. Let you guys know later what I will do.

steeda can but cant if it makes sense, they install products you buy from them and even tune it if its theirs, however im pretty sure they dont do custom work since they dont sell engine packages
