The automatic tranny in the 2011+ mustang can handle 800 lb-ft torque by the time u reach that you will need to go forged rotating assembly, I think 500 is about the most u can run stock and even then it's only a matter of time before something goes
They will give you all of the information you will need. You already know that the driveshaft will need to be replaced with a nice strong aluminum one. The transmission in our 3.7's is the same automatic they use on the GT and also the Shelby GT500, The rear is also very sturdy. The driveshaft is the weak link. If you want a lot go power and can afford it just do it. I'm sure you will love it.

The tranny is not the same in one aspect. Thr final drive gear ratio as the GT but other than that the same.
The tranny is not the same in the GT500 all together as well. The GT500 has a 6 speed manual too. Are you auto.or manual.? Sorry did not read entire post. If u are auto u will be fine.
Also, in the manual version the flywheels are different. The dual mass flywheel (DMF) used in the 3.7 is only good for 400lbs of torque and is the reason they dont use it in the GT. You will need to replace it if you are going to romp on it. Go with aftermarket.
Driveshaft should also be replaced as suggested already. I would suggest. Wider tires and full suspension mods down the line too as suggested.
That's only manual though if you have an auto its the same as the gt. You will need more fuel before you have to replace any drive line components. But yes the gt500 has a 6060 totally different
Mines a dd and it would for sure be safe you'd just need the tune and injectors and I could probably at least get you the tune.... injectors depends if I have 65 or 80 PDS and hour cause if its 80 I'm keeping them...
