I recently bought a 2000gt 8.8 rear, and I'm going to swap it into my v6. The 8.8 from the 2000 has the quad shock set-up for the stabilizer shocks. My v6 doesn't have those stabilizers, would it be worth my time to buy the parts I need for the stabilizers? Or just wait and buy traction bars. The only mods I have done right now is a cold air, and exhaust. It's a 96 v6 5spd.
I know the rears are wider but it should be alright if I just get a different offset wheel. Plus the wheels on mine sit in like an inch on each side of not more so it should make it flush.
That wouldn't cause problems though, would it?
if not, It would actually be plus. You'd be getting the 8.8 rearend, and you would have staggered look while still being able to fully rotate your tires.
I plan on lowering it down the road. But the sn95's wheels sit in the fender about an inch and a half so it will just make it look better
