I've been reading other posts and stuff hearing you can put an IRS exhaust set up on a straight axle. So would I be a me to buy a IRS exhaust set up off AM and bolt it up?
Takes me thirty seconds to drop my tailpipes. You can still jack enough to change a tire.Doe_Rae_mi said:U can but if you try to put it on a lift the axle will destroy the exhaust,so you would have to remove the exhaust just to get it on a lift
I have never scraped my tailpipes. The mufflers drag on occasion but hell they're 3" off the ground.Doe_Rae_mi said:So ur tellling me if I run an irs on my sra my exhaust would never be in danger
I wasn't talking about the it hitting the ground lol, just the axle raping the pipes, I was always under that impressionTakes me thirty seconds to drop my tailpipes. You can still jack enough to change a tire.

Sure, if you jack the body and let the axle droop it will hit the pipes. Being a lowered car I have pieces of wood I drive up on before jacking. That gives me enough space to take the tailpipes off before jacking the car up.Doe_Rae_mi said:I wasn't talking about the it hitting the ground lol, just the axle raping the pipes, I was always under that impression
Same here I have to drive up on a piece of wood, I've wanting one but have heard of them being messed up, so apparently if your careful you can get them?? I think I'm about to pull the trigger on one now lol, can I get a pic??Sure, if you jack the body and let the axle droop it will hit the pipes. I have never had interference problems between the pipes and rear. If you take a look the swaybar is the lowest point on the rear. My pipes are 1" or so under the swaybar.
What do you mean? The tip hangers? They are the same across all mustang models. If you have a v6 they will have to be purchased.theweekday said:What about the the tips? Will they work with the stock?
If you need more pics let me know. I got the muffler hangers from autozone, any parts store will have them. Bolted it to the lovely mounts ford provided on either side of the driveshaft.Doe_Rae_mi said:That's awesome those were some good pics as well, I really want to do this now
