ive been taking my car to the track and im tried of the stock shifter locking up at high rpm so i was thinking of getting a Barton Industries Short Shifter and Bracket what do yall think?
amazing shifter .... i love it !!! i have it its amazing its short af it is extremely precise i havent missed a gear .. only thing to remember is if yours is a 2013 you have to do a lil modding to the shifter so you retain the reverse lock out function but its an amazing shifter !!!!
This turned into a pretty good debate a couple of months ago and everyone was saying good things about the MGW shifter. Black on boss actually took his V6 to their shop for instal and swears by them. It depends on if you want now or are willing to wait up to a month for MGW to fab one for you.
I love seeing my name in random threads & MGW is the best. Best mod bar none, not saying Barton is bad, BC anything other than stock is an improvement but the MGW is superior to them all.
Barton is a great product. I don't have their shifter but I have their v1 bracket. Best investment ever!! I do have a short shifter I just forgot what brand it is already. Lol. But it works great as well!

The barton shifter and 2post bracket is the great BUT thats if ur not willing to spend the big bucks for the good sh*t. Im talking about the MGW shifter. That is the BEST!!! but unless ur willing to shell out 390 then go with the barton and bracket.
The MGW is the best because it doesnt just change the upper shifter assembly it changes the lower assembly as well. So its like getting a new tranny hahaha

I recently purchased an MGW shifter and it is SOLID. Really short throws and firm shifts. Although my GT is an 03 I don't see why the shifters for the newer stangs wouldn't be just as good. Can't speak for Barton since I haven't tried one but if you decide MGW you will not be dissapointed!
What are everyone's thoughts on replacing just the bracket? Is that enough of an improvement in shift smoothness on its own, or is it more of a tide-you-over-until-you-get-a-full-assembly kind of thing?
I heard only one guy say that he was in love with the baron set up....then he admitted that his mustang was not a MT-82 trans variant. I never had anything else than the MGW that is Due in.

Okay so after google help the screw comes fully turned to ten turns and mgw recommended six for street use...I guess I have to get the car up and take off the heat shield to access it....
1. I thought that it comes at six already...I must have misread.
2. The adjustment is in the top area. All you have to do is take off the knob, console, and boot to get to the screw set as I recall. That should be In the instructions too. Google search 'MGW reviews'. Then select the one that says 'svtperformance review'. With in that article, you should see the most updated video for MGW installation.
I had to go buy a jack (since the mustang doesnt come with one )to put the car up in the air and crawl underneath cause the mechanic didn't bend the tab on the heat shield my linkage was getting caught when going into first .....now for a little test drive....
That's the first time I ever heard of a new car that doesn't come with a spare tire. The second photo was to show it was 17" but didn't turn out. Is there a spot under the carpet in the trunk for a spare?
When I bought the car I opened the trunk and seen this I asked the salesman how do I use it and he said only the roadside assistance people know and he didn't know lmao ....the car comes with fee roadside for three years I think .... I do plan to buy a spare cause it looks like one still fits.....
Yeah there is but the put a big foam piece in there with the inflator. I just googled it and there were quite a few threads on this subject on different boards. Looks like ford went to the inflator in 08 with the spare as an option and made the spare standard issue for the 13 model year

He didn't know and was to lazy to get you someone that does know how to use it to answer your question. It's in the manual and from what I remember its pretty straight forward to use
The compressor pumps temporary spare tire sealer fluid into the tire. It saves on the car's weight but make sure you order a replacement canister if you use the one you have.
