No, just sprinkles, so they got it dried off pretty well. Took off too early on the second run so no time. Bogged it down pretty well too. Made me a little jealous of the automatic guys.
Is 4k a good launch rev on the v6?
Tomorrow should be fun. 30 mile run then 3 back to back passes.
Running the 1/4 mile is a lot of fun. You turning a 15.55 is not the best but I'll bet you really had fun doing it. I'm willing to bet as you do it more your times will drop a lot. Getting to know your car and how to control the launch will take some time.
It was a ton of fun. After a 30 mile ride and an hour wait to dry the track off we did our three passes. Took home the 15 sec bracket with a 15.33 average. Got it down to 15.21 on the first pass, but dropped third on the last one for a 15.49.
Over all it was a great time, and got to see some really amazing cars. It seemed like a mustang meet in the series with 5 other mustangs racing. Can't wait to do it again, although I think racing tires are in order before I head out again.
A great video and I felt really good watching it. You sure looked as though you had a ton of just plain fun.
A winners plaque and a hundred bucks sure was cool. I love drag racing and would still be doing it if my health was not so bad.
Really good going. Ronnie
