Nothing wrong with a v6 especially for that price...when I was 18 I picked up a 1999 v6 for a 100$ dollar bill ( no lie) with 105k miles on it, nothing wrong with it..drove it for a HARD 60k miles and eventually sold it..

I have never ran him so it is not my driving but from what I've read the v6 don't have much of a shot but can the tuner really help that much?

it wont help alot but it will wake up ur car especially since u have full exhaust and gears. so u wont be dissapointed with the tuner. and 2 years ago i bought an 01 v6 for 500 bucks with 90k on it. drove it for a year then bought a 02 gt. sadly i sold em both already :(
but yeah man look into the tuner as ur next mod

I'd love to do a v8 swap but I don't have the time or the cash but a tuner sounds nice I've also looked at a m112 upgrade and 4.2 swap I'm going to get a 8.8 rear

let us know how your progress goes. I would love to know what your build plans are and/or how everything goes along and turns out

DONT DO IT LOL. I test drove a 04 GT and man.... It was fun. Car smokes ya. I got a quick 6 IMO (no idea if yours is as fast, the gears make me think you'd keep up) but that GT would blow my doors off. ITS A TRAP

You'll have to drop a couple grand in the motor I would think to be able to beat him or even keep up

I love this gt myself I just couldn't pass the deal up on this one I just wanna shut this kid up he acts like he is god just cause he has a v8 I've got 3 other v8s (one ford and 2 Chevys) I just think it would be funny to keep up to him with a v6 lol anyone who has a gt tho they are super sweet cars I'm not hating the car just the driver

how about using a 2002 or later 4.2l split port engine from an F150? it is a V6 and bolt in place of the 3.8 you have now, you just need a few things, like a 2001 or later V6 mustang oil pan. here is a link to the very swap i am talking about;

4.2l Swap Article - TCCoA Forums

with a cam change, and some judicious tuning, in conjunction with your 3.73 gears, your mustang will be a rocker. and here are a couple of other links to check out;

Tom Morana Racing Engines

Super Six Motorsports - V6 products that make your life faster

these guys offer stroker kits for your 3.8, which is just the rotating assembly from the 4.2 engine.
