Brand new 2013 GT Prem with 19" luster nickel wheels. Only 300 miles on the car. Not a scratch on it. I decide to change out the stock tires and the tire shop dings up the bead on my wheels! There's at least one tire tool mark ON EACH WHEEL! I'm fairly pissed. :banghead: I'm thinking they need to replace my wheels, but they say they can refinish them good as new.

What say you guys? Would a refinishing job only be good until my next tire change? Do all painted wheels get f'ed up when you install new tires??? Really?

No there shouldnt be any damage to your rims, You might have to give the chance to refinish the rims and if it doesnt suit you then I would tell them they have to replace them...:banghead:

Only when morons deal with your rims. I had 22's on my old ram, went to get new rubber they all came back jacked. They only re powdered two,, oh and broke one screw that holds the lug nut cover, lost all four lug nut covers. Never replaced the covers. Norhing like close to 400 (if I remember correctly) for someones mistake. put your foot down for new rims. Frack a rix. Its got damn brand new

Jerk probably used the lip of the rim as a leverage point when installing new valve stems among other things. To answer your question re-finishing them should be fine, they can also powdercoat them if you want I'm sure.

I've had some... experiences with wheel/tire shops to and I will not take my business to one unless I know they do work on higher end cars or custom rims already. Taking your awesome new big rims to a random assed tire shop where they pay minimum wage to someone who really does not give two ****s is not a good idea.
