Hey all, I was hoping some of you could give me a little help. I'm very up in the air right now whether I want to order the Boss 302 manifold and Tune from American Muscle. Was hoping anybody who has 1 could hopefully tell me
About the power gains and if it was worth it. Thanks!
Just got mine installed not to long ago and I love it. Minimal loss on the lowend torque and it starts hauling after 6000. Rev limiter was set to 8000 but I usually take it to 7500. Tuned by dasilva racing in toronto. 410/370 12.6 on 20" vossens and 275/35r20 trapping 116mph and 1.9 60ft. Need a better tire and smaller / lighter wheels
So many people talk about the torque loss, but to be honest, you dont miss it at all. If you want to be able to burn the rubber off your tires maybe, but I will trade the HP gains after 5500 any day. Feels like you put an afterburner on your engine compared to your stock intake. There has been so much banter online about torque loss and numbers in regards to the Boss IM, it has scared most people from doing the mod, yet most of the people that dis the install don't run it. The people who do run it like it.
Depends really. The stock pistons and rods in the coyote, are junk 100% junk. If you saw them you would laugh. Sent from my HTC One using Mustang Evolution mobile app
American Muscle guys themselves told me that I could spend the money in much wiser areas if i was just daily driving. They said that if I am not track running it over 6500rpms really wont notice much at all. I decided I am going to do aluminum drive shaft instead and should see about same benefits but I have manual
The stock oil pump gears would be something I would worry about on a stock motor and the ring glands. Reving to 7800+, but if you bought it for performance. Goforit, if it breaks build it stronger

If you look up matt dasilva on youtube hes done a coyote swap in him s197 and takes it to 8 grand everyshift. Has had that motor for 3 years now with no issue
Yes there is people doing it. But there's people who have had trouble. iMO the stock internalls are ****. Sent from my HTC One using Mustang Evolution mobile app
I only track it every one in a while so I won't be revving it that high all the time. But it would be fun to be able to rev to 7.5K at the track or at least every once in a while! Hmm..
Name someone who's had trouble. We want to speak with them and demand explanations of the circumstances. We want them in on this thread, no more here say.
