I only have a year left with my Musty 2014 V6, I really want to try the bama tune. Unfortunately I won't be buying my new Mustang until next year. I was thinking that being that I am returning this car I can tune it and when it's time to return it I'll just put it back to stock. I did some research and it seems Ford can tell if the car was flashed. In my defense being that the car is out of my hands can they still fine me even though I already returned the car to Ford?

I do not think that AED is tuning the V6's.

I would go for Lund but it seams AM and BAMA will work with you to make sure your happy. Only thing from MPT is my tires chirped and I loved it . After I got headers from American muscle now they don't. I do have 285 in rear now though . Idk. Wondering if American muscle will get me back to destroying those 09 gets with a correct tune.

Lol, just because you had a problem with a MPT tune doesn't mean they are "horrible." I like my MPT significantly better than my Bama tunes and have never had a problem with it, same with alot of other people. However if mine was a lease i wouldn't tune it.. Read thru your paperwork, i would almost bet money theres something in there warning you not to do this or you'll be held liable. However i may be wrong. BUT if you still do i'd go with Bama or Steeda due to the fact their tunes are a bit more conservative than other companies, which gives you a better safety cushion.

Ford would look at the date it was flashed and since it was in your possession, you could be financially liable. It depends on how lucky you feel.

If you decide to buy your car at the end of the lease then flashing the car at that point would not be an issue.

The problem is, currently it's not your car. I would look over your lease agreement, I'm sure there is something that states you cannot modify the car.

Worst case scenario, your lease runs up, you go in looking to buy the car or move on to something else. They give the car a look over, hook it up first to verify the condition of the car, they notice it's been tuned, you are liable to pay $xxxx because you broke your lease agreement and the car is not in the expected condition that you agreed to keep the car in.

I wouldn't chance it.

Basically a leased car is a long term rental. If you think of it that way, then you have your answer. . . You wouldn't mod a rental would you? Absolute correct safe answer is - No!

A couple of questions.
1) How long is your lease?
2) How much per month?
3) What will be your pay off at the end of your lease?
4) How many miles are they allowing you? 25,000 or three years?
5) How much per mile when you go over the allowed mileage for your lease?

I think it's fairly common for people to tune their Lease. I've seen this question pop up on the forums a bunch of times and from what I understand it's not really a big issue. They can't really void the warranty because it's a lease. I'm not 100% on the policy here, though.

I wish I had a better answer for you. You may want to give a local dealership a call and see what they think!

I wouldn't ever ever ever ever ever buy a used mustang that was leased tuned or not tuned. Your just asking for trouble and crazy to do so. A leased mustang is most likely beat the ball snot out if because its a lease. The lessee is not the owner and doesn't care about the longevity reliability of the car. They are under warranty and your lucky if people even change the oil in the three years of the lease.

OP, tune that lease and beat the bloody ball snot out of it. That's what majority will do to a leased mustang regardless if it tuned or not. :)

Never buy a used lease mustang unless your the sole one leased it and you plan to buy it out after the lease is over.

If i were leasing a Mustang, i wouldn't care one bit about a warranty. I would keep it nice and clean but run the poo poo out of it. Just saying......:)

There's poo poo in Mustangs? Holy crap!
