Hi I'm new to ME and want to know what internals I need to be able to handle 700hp or more money isn't a matter and links to the items would be great. I have a 2002 gt full bolt ins and exhaust and want to be able to put down at least 600 with my nitrous but 700 internals to be safe. I understand this means pistons rods and crank and gaskets but I don't know if I need to bore it and what rods and pistons and crank are rated to handle that much. Thank you oh and camshafts also thanks again
Take it to a machine shop and have them build it install and all. Wanting to learn is all fine and dandy, but if you're building on a budget, if you mess something up, you'll be on your own. If they build it you will at least have some sort of guarantee and get another engine.

Take it to a shop
Yeah and don't take it to someones house either :whistling:, take it to a engine shop with a good track record, search them out , check their history and BBB.
That is a hard question to answer. You could be anywhere from 3k to 15k before it is all said and done. It all depends with what you elect them to do, what parts you get, machine work if any, and the time and man hrs they will charge you.
If you don't have a buddy who knows how to build engines just take it somewhere. Luckily when I do my build my friend has put together countless engines.
If you want the engine to live at 700hp, you should build it to handle 900 hp.
I recommend purchasing most of the items in the options list as well.
And the timing chain components are not included in this price so add another $500 or so for that stuff.
Then heads and cams will run you another 3-5 thousand+ depending how "fancy" that you want to get with the porting and valve train parts.
Well that link didn't work as planned.
Click on the Products button and then click "Short blocks". You'll see the 900hp capacity engine then click on that and the complete parts list is in the description.
If money isn't a matter, sell your present car, go buy a GT SHELBY and ship it to Shelby Incorporated Inc., in Las Vegas. Upgrade it to the Supersnake, 850 hp.
Corvettes are over rated ? they are a good road course car and get good gas milage but lack at the dragstrip mostly due to the irs, but just a falair warning ( i know all makes and models have their own demons) but the vettes the climate controll box takes a dump alot, the bcms die alot and the key fob haves problems i cant even count the number of vettes that ive had to replace the lock and key on ( the car goes into limp mode and wont go over 5mph it will cut off if it exceeds 5 mph lol)
