I have gt500 mufflers and was wondering how bbk x pipe and long tune headers would sound?

Will there be any drone?

Any advice please

A lot of people here hate on flows....I personally like the sound. Thumbs.

There wouldn't be any drone. However, they're going to get raspy (with annoying popcorn sound) as fawwk if you're going catless. Even with a set of high flow cats, I can't imagine a smooth sound.

I removed my stock resonators, while my gt500 mufflers sounded just a tad bit loud, I hated their rasp on wot. I still had stock mid pipe and cats.

If you're going with long tubes and x pipes, my suggestion would be to glasspack resonators just before midpipe if you can. Or right after.

With 2.73s at my cruising speed of say 110km I'd be in the 13-1800rpm, drone zone. But with 3.73s I'm in the 22-2400rpm, out of the drone zone.

Take CAI HP gains with a grain of salt. You will be more happy with the look and sound you'll get.

Steeda and Airaid have identical gains, although they're very minor.

Go with what fits your budget or looks the best to you. You aren't sacrificing any power going one over the other.

Nope. The Airaid is the same diameter as stock.

I run the Airraid. Didn't feel the need to spend extra for the Steeda and I don't like that tube is aluminum. That's worse for heat conduction.

I'm very happy with my Airraid CAI, absolutely no complaints and have no clue on what my actual power gains were. I'm sure I would of been just as happy with a Steeda CAI but if my memory serves me correctly, the Steeda CAI cost more money.

For me its the sound of the CAI when I'm WOT that has me flowing with joy. I love the sound that thing makes. But that's just me. Totally worth it for the sound alone but I do think there are some power gains.

The Mustang Source Website is complete trash.

Took about an hour or so. Mostly just because the rubber coupler is a very tight fit. A little tough to get around the throttle body, but with some muscle it's simple.

There is a guy with LTS and catted x with flows on youtube (white mustang). IMO its was the best sounding stang that had LTS. The s-type and touring also sounded really good with LTS, but flows were my favourite. If I go with LTS next year it will most likely be with flows.
