I'm looking into tuning my 14 5.0 within the next month. I've narrowed it down to either jon lund or aed. I've heard pretty good things about both of them. but I'm still not sure who to go with. my 5.0 is manual with long tube headers and off road x pipe. pros? cons? for each tune. and best tune for my setup. in the future, before or right after the tune i might get a better set of tires and some cutouts. nothing too crazy. any input is helpful. bear with me im not too knowledgeable around the tuning topic.
I currently have a AED, I like how through shaun is/was before he would tune my car. I had to do several datalogs before he agreed to tune it. All said and done I am happy with the tune.
I recently got a lund tune but haven't loaded it yet. Probably won't til spring so that I can data log it.
I personal dont think you could go wrong with either one that you have mentioned.
I have an AED tune, which i am very happy with ^^ and i agree with Shaun's attention to detail. That being said, i have no exposure with John Lund, he may be very detailed as well. I think on a basically bolt on car you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two. Just go with whomever you feel more comfortable going with.
I just recently got my Lund tune & I love it! The drivability & pull is much better than stock! I've also heard nothing but great things from AED so like everyone here has said I don't think u can go wrong with either of the 2.
Great ?
I am kind of in the same boat.
But leaning towards AED.
just from the emails back and forth to Shaun it is nice to know there is someone there to get right back to you.
Any price differences on the two?
It would be nice to see a 1/4 mile comparison between both tunes.
I am assuming both would be a better choice than BAMA although more expensive
Almost $200.00 more ???
stock h-pipe? lol I'm running a off road x so i don't have cats. and as far as warranty goes, its a good thing i know ppl that work for ford so when i go in there with long tubes and x pipe they don't care... and I'm pretty sure having a x pipe vs having a h pipe won't make a big difference on the tune.
