Hey guys, just looking into upgrading from my stock suspension. I plan on doing shocks, struts and springs but can't decide on which ones to go with.. so I thought, why not get everyone's opinion on what they have!
If you have any suggestions, please drop a comment! Cheers!
BMR rear control arms and a decent set of tires and with only like 220rwhp it dead hooks with just flooring it every time haha....out of the gate it hangs with a lot higher powered cars, that is until about 50-60mph then it's just a **** show haha
No it's not bad at all...definitely stiffer than stock but it's not uncomfortable. Just feels more like a sports car. I've never had anyone complain about bumps or anything when riding with me lol
Yeah I've got a J&M adjustable pan hard bar with the urethane bushings...BMR rear upper and lower control arms with their relocation brackets. And then eibach camber bolts up front
What superdrift said, all said and done it would be pretty close in price doing lowering springs and a decent set of shocks vs. straight to coilovers. Also get the caster camber plates after lowering, I ran through a set of tires real quick because I was cheap and tried the bolts.
Thanks everyone. Through my research and recommendations, I'm just gonna save for the coilovers and take the plunge.. I don't want to sacrifice top much ride quality !
Not sure if you base the base model my 09 was and i added a pair of gt sway bars on mine .The base model does not have the rear sway bar and it made a huge difference in the way it handled plus i had koni front struts and gt shocks on it ..
The entire suspension set up would be about $150 more than just the coilovers, but then there would be labor cost (I'm sure I'd be able to install the coilivers myself).
I feel I'd get a better bang for my buck with the entire suspension as opposed to just a coilover kit, but I'm not sure.
Just some input, you'll need caster camber plates as well whichever route you go. As for bang for you buck I'd go with the whole suspension. Those control arms will help.
Everybody told me that i would want to get coilovers after i get lowering springs and they were right, the springs arent low enough for me, so just get coilovers and dont waste any time with springs
I would also check out some of the new RTR suspension stuff on AM as well. Supposed to have really well made control arms. Just an idea.
