Hello boys and girls, just throwing it out there that I just ordered the infamous RTR decklid for the 2013-2014 mustang from blowbyracing.com. They were able to get 33 of them out of a limited production run of 200. Not many left. Get on it!
And you could throw in one of these tornado air intake swirly things so we get a horsepower boost and a cool deck lid.
How much HP does just the deck lid come with?
I will start a thread when I feel comfortable selling these to you guys. Let's do this. No money down or anything but if you are truly ready to buy once it's made send me a PM. I have not yet decided on a price. I need to look at what it costs to make plus my time. Thanks for the support guys. I'm like you. Got tired of waiting for one of these.
Count me in as well, I've been looking to delete the faux gas cap for some time now while maintaining the factory/sleeper look.
I've already blacked out my 5.0 badges and faux gas cap, but this would be a lot cleaner. It's hilarious when cars pull up thinking I've just got a V6 when it's actually a Stage 2 VMP install that blows away Corvettes and keeps up with the New Viper... lol.
My body guy basically told me they're super busy and to hold out for a bit until the end of summer. I may have to find a new body guy. Or, wrap the damn thing
I just signed in after probably a year to post this. oxford5pointoh, if these can be painted gloss black and look like the RTR one I'm definitely in for one. I have wanted one since the original came out but I didn't buy one because I knew I would be trading in the V6 for a 5.0 and when I got my 5.0 they where discontinued smh
Looks like the #RTRthreadLegacy is soon to be in full effect. AM has now released the new and improved, and cheaper than before. Now every skid mark around will have one, coolness level dramatically dropping at an exponential rate. So long to the exclusive RTR brotherhood of bros and their deck lids, R.I.P.-Real RTR Rascals.

Well they defiantly did just that. The paint is amazing and they have quality control in place, stickers on the back of the panel tell you who painted it, sanded it and buffed it.
Looks good. Hopefully I can get mine off and and get it fixed. It's on there now like a sonofa***** since my body guy put it back on the second time when it unsealed. I'm worried about it bending and/or breaking.
If it's just taped on as it would or should have been originally then some good fishing line and patience will take you to the finish line without any problems. You absolutely cannot pull or pry on that panel or it will buckle.
Pretty sure it might be epoxied on there as well as the double sided tape. The idiot who put it on the second time told me it's not coming off lol. They were obviously perturbed the first time when I came back because it wasn't put on properly....should be a fun time.
Ummm if they used epoxy or something like "panel bond" it will not be coming off. That's some serious stuff. If that's the case then they will have to fix it while it's on the car. That's not going to be easy since the rust always starts on the back edge of these. Yikes ?

If they seriously used panel bond, it will not come off without damaging both the panel and the decklid. It literal does as promised, bonds panels. They are now married and they do not want to be apart. No Bueno
?? on the vortech. When it comes to the coyote for a street car the best bet is the vortech over the Paxton all day. Everyone says get the Paxton be its a bigger head unit which is true. But for a street car 700 Rwhp and below the vortech will come out on top every time. I know of a few Paxton coyotes that are slow as slow can be
And trunk door? The decklid is attached to the actual trunk, and it's rusting from behind the decklid panel.
