Finally got the funds right and have the time to get this goin.
I'm wanting to get a kit.. But I'd like to be educated on spray first. What are do's and dont's? Brands to stay away from? Basic nitrous need to know stuff..
Also what exactly do I need to get..
I was thinking wet kit, purge, bottle heater, window switch and an extra bottle or 2 lol
Go with the nitrous outlet plate kit for your car.
Window switch or a progressive
Purge
Bottle heater. The blanket style heaters sucks
Dont go over a 200 if pulling of the rail.
Don't spray with a 1/4 tank or less
Proper plugs depending on shot
Dedicated fuel system is the best route more $ but a lot safer.
Zex sucks don't use them
Start with a 100-150 shot and work your way up depending on traction ect.
If you are wanting more than a 200 look into a direct port.
Keep bottle pressure between 800-1000
2-3 quick little purge hits is all you need. No need to hold it down and make a fast and furious purge show.
2 10lb bottles and maybe a single 5lb on the ground behind your seat.
Rap what's the major differences between a plate kit and wet?
Also I won't list my mods but if it's a bolt on I have it + cams.. (Minus a blower or turbo) so hopefully with supporting mods I can get down in the 11-12's
Purge will hook up to the nitrous solenoid itself. It will be a smaller solenoid. Then it will have the tubing ran to the windshield area or wherever you choose. Will be activated by a actual button.
Well I was going to try to turn the sprayers toward the front because I thought it would make the windshield hard to see out of lol or does it just go away
Wet = safer and for a lot better as far as tuning
For instance a direct port - say one cylinder is running lean you can jump the fuel up in that specific cylinder.
Dry = cheaper good if your looking at a 50-75 shot.
These intake manifolds were not meant to have fuel mixed with the air flowing through them. They are more prone to allowing fuel to puddle in the intake manifold. The fuel has more mass than the air, so fuel droplets that are too big will separate from the air when it changes direction too fast. This affects each cylinder differently, so you can get maldistribution of the fuel and air. One cylinder might be making 30 extra horsepower, while the one on the far end might only be making an extra 6 horsepower and running lean AFR. The higher the RPMs, the safer you are with this
Wet kit is fine, but port injection is more ideal when you are running a port EFI manifold.
Depends on the bike.
I started with a 20 went to a 40 and finally a 60 on my gsxr600.
I still have no clue how it didn't blow up or lift the head on the 60 shot.
If I ever get around to getting another bike it will be a wet kit. It was a headache with the tuning for the nitrous on that thing.
I would say stock bike 600-1000cc 40 shot is all that's needed.
A 20 shot on a bike is like a 100 shot in a car. Feeling wise.
