So I tried several options on the swirls and everything has had little impact, no durability or made it worse until now. I went back to my Porter Cable DA with Megiars Ultimate Compound. I got good results w harbor freights orange pads. Took 4-5 cycles for each area to eliminate 95-100% of visual defect. Hoping polish w resolve remaining slight flaws.

The HF pads go on a Velcro like wheel attachment I picked up from Chem guys or auto geek. Perfect fit. Can't find any other distributors of such pads locally so I tried HF. Glad I did. I used the Ultimate compound in past on black also w good results. Following with ultimate polish w excellent results. (This successful effort has been over 3 weekends, experimenting on diff sections, can do in simple 2 step process in day now. )

Here's the problem. Swirl Prevention. I know all the wash tricks.

here are my goals: one wash a week. *Wipe or dust daily.*
Repel / don't attract dust.
*Minimize added swirl.*
Wax no more than every month. Compound / polish no more than 1-2 x per year.
Maintain near perfect finish.

I think the wiping / dusting is a big issue. I need something (sealant/wax) to hold up to CAREFUL wiping and dusting.

Garaged at night, outside during day.

Going to try Megiuars Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Try the griots one-step, always had great results with it, i would put up against anything adams puts out. never been a big fan of da style polishers, except for applying wax/sealants.too many steps/pads to correct paint. i have been useing rotary polisher/buffers for 26 yrs. you can get better results for far less money.you will never see anybody in a paint shop cutting fresh paint with a da polisher.just my opinion.

So far after one post rain dirty car wipe down, Megiuars Ultimate seems to have held up with little surface damage (new swirls). The goal is none so I've ordered 3m sealant for next time then I'll try the griots 1 step. I expect to have some sealant build up so it will probably work better regardless.
