Hi guys just joined the forums today manly because of this issue I'm having. OK so I loved the way my exhaust system sounded at first, I had stock manifolds, stock cats and stock h pipe with straight pipes coming to the 3in tips... OK here's the problem I started smelling rotten eggs a few weeks ago and it only got worse way worse... My fiance was following behind me and said with the air on she started to gag. So I then knew it was time to do something about my cats bc they were toast! So I took my car to my exhaust guy and I told him that I wanted to remove the cats and weld in some pipe in its place as he wanted to change me 300 bucks per cat and here in SC we don't have any testing for cars and exhaust.. And I knew it would throw a code bc there is no downstream o2 sensors.. I'm not worried about those two things a bit. What I am worried about is the anyoing ricer tin can sound that's now coming from my exhaust specificly right at 2,000 RPM now iv been doing tons of research and non of the forums match my problem to a T so that's why I'm looking for some help on what I can add to make my exhaust deep and throaty again I love loud and aggressive exhaust but not tinny or buckshot in a tin can type of sound... Now I have an awesome deal right now to pick up a new Mac prochamber mid pipe and 2 used axle backs for 150 bucks crazy cheap but I heard prochambers really quite down your cars exhaust and thats the last thing I want... Don't have alot of money so options are limited to an extent.. Basically long story short I don't want the cats on my car again but I do want loud throaty deep American muscle car sound Thanks alot guys for any help yall can give! 2007 mustang gt 4.6L N/A 5spd manual Mostly stock

My mistake, I was talking about mufflers. Look at some Dynomax mid pipes. Same quality as the best without the huge prices of their competitors. Macs no experience there. Most of the guys that come in have BBK and Pypes midpipe systems.
Remember this.
X - nascar sound
H - old school muscle sound

Yes definitely going with an H pipe for sure which I have the stock one right now and I really like the sound of the pypes o/r H pipe but there 212 on American muscle which is an awesome price but I can get the Mac prochamber with two used axle backs all for 150 which is a dern steal! Lol but I will definitely check out the dynomax mid pipes right now and is wouldn't mind putting on some sort of axle back but don't really want a chambered muffler as it makes the exhaust "too weak" in my opinion.. But if yall think a good axle back with do my exhaust good with a new o/r h pipe I will give that a try to get rid of this horrible raspy exhaust I have now

Well $150 for an exhaust system. Have you went on YouTube to hear what they sound like on a 3V? Don't take it to heart but it give you a general idea of what your car will sound like. And you're right $150 is a steal. Take it. If you don't like it you can always put something else on. But if you do like it. You got one hell of a deal.

Haha very true... It is a steal, I hate it for the guy I'm buying it from as he is selling it for so cheap bc he totaled his first Mustang! I put that Mustang in my prayers... But as for my exhaust I think your right man I might just go with that and the Mac prochamber and try it out if I don't like it I can sell it and add maybe some borla exhaust or the pypes h pipe that I really want..

I have looked up Mac prochamber mid pipe exhaust for our 3v and I only found Maybe one or two and the quality of sound on the video was shi*y so I couldn't really judge the deepness or the flow of the exhaust if you guys come across one and could post it on here I would appreciate it thanks man for all your help

So your saying don't put the Mac prochamber on.. And just do like pypes bomb axle backs?

Sorry to say but never been a fan of any kind of muffler I guess coming from a straight pipe old ford truck would be the reason why lol

I'm going to do the work tomorrow and buy the prochamber tomorrow so any more help would be appreciated

This will be my set up tell me what you guys think... Stock manifold o/r Mac prochamber (no cats) hence my problem and pypes bomb axle back

Don't care if it's insanely loud which is what I like just don't want raspyness and a good tone in my exhaust as always thanks guys

Nate is that true do you have the video and if so could you post it up? I might try the mbrp axle back then I mean why not.. my main focus honestly is the pro chamber mid pipe I think that alone will cure most of my raspy sound so I can try both and post a video of them both so people will know about the pro chamber and mbrp axle backs
