hey guys, need to know what product to use to water repel treat my roof, the car was outside al winter and now the water does not bead off the roof, the roof absorbs alittle bit of the water and stays damp for a while, thanks.
Regarding the "cloth" top, what is recommended for care with these? I'm looking at an '07 GT with the cloth top and like the look of it, just curious how it is for caring it for it.
Does the cloth top seem to show more wear than the stock top if kept in the retracted (down) position all summer?
I've wondered about the wear on a top that is kept down for extended periods of time. Mine's stayed down a maximum of a few days but the 90 was stored for quite a while with the top down, it's vinyl however.
On my previous Mustang with the vinyl-type 'vert top, it would be put down in the spring and usually would never get put back up until 5-6 months later for winter storage as the car was strictly a sunny day ride.
That top looked as new when I sold the car recently.
Just curious if those with the cloth tops have noticed them to show signs of wear more soon than what you would with the standard top.
I'm a believer in using the top boot to keep the dust/dirt from getting in by the top while in the retracted position.
I haven't had the time to try and correct mine, it's pretty bad. I'm trying to find a one piece solid boot cover but can't seem to find anything. I might just break down and buy a speedster cover.
as for the boot, i can make it fit its just a pain to put on.
